민간경비ㆍ경호원의 처우와 직무만족도에 관한 연구

국문 초록

  경찰이 범죄를 예방하고 치안유지를 위하여 업무를 수행하고 있지만 지원되는 인력과 예산, 장비 등을 고려한다면 시민들이 원하는 여러 효과를 기대하기 어려운 것이 현실이다. 따라서 경비와 경호제도를 통한 민간 차원의 치안 및 범죄문제 해결로의 접근은 의미가 각별하다 할 것이며 이는 다양한 경비와 경호 수요를 촉진시키고 경찰력의 배분으로까지 기능할 수 있다.
  본 연구는 민간경비 산업의 질적 발전에 기여하고 고객에게 양질의 경비서비스를 제공하는데 보탬이 되고자 민간경호ㆍ경비 분야에서 근무하고 있거나 근무 희망자들을 대상으로 현재의 처우와 직무만족도, 사회적 기여도를 파악하고 있다. 이를 위해 2006년 2월부터 12월까지 총 11월 동안 우석대학교 일반경비원 신엄교육과정에 등록한 교육생 총 536명을 대상으로 하여 설문조사를 실시하였고 응답내용 및 결과를 분석하였다.
  최근 민간경비의 수요가 급속도로 확산되고 있고 이에 대한 중대성이 인식되고 있는 상황에서 민간경비ㆍ경호업 종사자들의 처우와 직무만족도 등을 조사한 본 연구는 여러 제도와 정책수립의 자료로 사용할 수 있고 나아가서는 경비산업의 확산에 기여할 것이다.
  경찰과 민간경비의 상호협력은 경찰의 방범업무 부담을 감소시키고, 민간경비의 지위와 권한을 향상시켜 보다 적극적으로 안전과 범죄예방 서비스를 국민들에게 제공하기 위하여 필요하다 할 수 있다. 그러자면 경비업에 종사하고 있는 이들의 의식 변화와 아울러 이에 대한지역사회에서 발생하는 다양한 안전문제를 재정립 할 수 있도록 해주는 변화가 필요하다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this research is to provide better quality of private security service to clients and is to contribute for the development of private security service sector. In order to attain the purpose of research, the qualitative research method has been conducted as follows. Firstly, the sample populations are the people who are working or want to work for the private security service. Secondly, the content of questionnaire is about the current working conditions, benefits, treatments, the degree of working satisfaction and the degree of social contribution.
  Lately, the demand of private security sector is increasing rapidly; moreover, the private security service is highly recognized as the important sector. Therefore, this research, which contains the workers" current working conditions, benefits, treatments, the degree of working satisfaction and the degree of social contribution, will be significant resource for guiding policy making procedure. Finally, this research will be able to contribute for the enlargement of the private security industry.
  The mutual cooperation between police and private security service would be necessary for the diminution of police"s crime prevention duty. Moreover, the cooperation will enhance the position and authority of private security service sector which would provide better quality of crime prevention and security to the people. However, above all, people in private security sector need to change their own consciousness in order to achieve tangible goal of better security. Simultaneously, it needs to change that reconstruct of various security problems where are happening in local community.
