영문 초록

  The study was conduted for the purpose of identifying physique and physical power, due to sex and age of infants. For the study the subject selected was 188 infants(male:93, female:95) who were enrolled in the "physical aptitude school for infants" in Seoul children"s center. The testing items were physique (height, weight, chert-circumference, sitting-height), physical strength (50m-running, upper-body lifting with lying down, sit-up, standing distance-jumping, go-and-come running, handing-down with hands stretch out). about each item, mean and standard deviation were calculated, and the analysis was conducted to find out if there were any correlation, between physique and physical power.
  The study was con clued as follows.
  1. In case of physique in the infanthood, the growth degree is proportional to age, and male is superior to female.
  2. In case of physical power in the infanthood, male is domint in 50M dash, standing broad, shuttle run and female is dominant in trunk extension, extended arm hanging. As the result, male is mainly dominant in dynamic exercise needing power, agility, etc and female is mainly dominant in static exercise needing flexibility endurance, etc.
  The growth degree is proportinal to age, but in the item of extended arm hanging, 6-year infants is superior to 7-year infants.
  3. In female, with respect to correlation between physique and physique and physical power, only standing height and sitting height have high correlation with flexibility, while the other items have little correlation.
