초등학교 특수교육보조원제 운영에 관한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

  본 연구는 초등학교 통합학급교사, 특수학급교사, 특수교육보조원이 특수교육보조원제 운영에 대해 느끼고 경험한 운영의 실제에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위하여, 반구조화 된 형식의 심층면담과 연구자의 참여관찰을 통하여 현장의 자료를 수집하고 질적 분석 방법을 통해 운영의 실제와 문제점에 대한 결과를 도출하였다.
  이에 통합교사, 특수교사, 특수교육보조원들을 대상으로 면담을 통해 얻은 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특수교육보조원제 운영의 실제는 현장에서 그 의의와 필요성에 큰 공감을 불러일으켰으나, 사전 인식이 정착되지 못한 토대 위에서 시작하였다는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 특수교육보조원제 운영의 문제점은 특수교육보조원의 채용 기준의 모호성과 협력관계의 어려움, 열악한 근무여건으로 드러났다. 후속 연구로는 특수교육보조원이 투입된 다양한 학교급과 교육배치환경, 교육당사자에 따른 좀더 심층적인 적응과정 및 내면적 갈등요인에 대한 연구가 제안되었다.

영문 초록

  This study was to propose efficient ways of managing the special education teacher-aide system. The results were drawn through qualitative research and interpretation on data collected from in-dept interviews and participatory observations by the author. Elementary school inclusive teachers, special education teachers, and special education teacher-aides were interviewed and observed for the study. Interviews and observations provided information on the practical side of managing the special education teacher-aide system, issues with managing.
  Conclusions are; 1) operating special education teacher-aide system evoked positive responses of its necessity and significance, but the system began without full understanding of the position, and its responsibilities and implications, 2) major issues of special education teacher-aide come from unclear employment criterion, difficulties in cooperative relationships, and poor working environment. Researches derive from this study should cover adaptation process of special education teacher-aide in various grades and schools, and educational placement environment. and also mention internal conflicts with education personnels.
