국문 초록

본론에서는 국내에 중도중복 장애인을 위한 치료 재활적 지원방안으로 유입되고 있는 스노젤렌에 대한 이론적 연구로서, 문헌분석에 근거하여 우선 네덜란드에서 중도중복 장애인의 여가 및 휴식 프로그램으로 개발된 스노젤렌의 발생 배경, 실시 형태, 구성 원리에 대한 기술을 통해 스노젤렌에 대한 전반적인 이해를 도모하였다. 나아가 위와 같은 스노젤렌의 구성적 내용과 현장 운용에 대한 분석을 통해 중도중복 장애인을 대상으로 하는 본 컨셉 및 그 실행에서 드러나는 윤리적, 인간학적 한계를 지적하고자 했다. 또한 현재 국내의 교육, 치료, 사회복지 현장에서 이루어지는 스노젤렌에 대한 무비판적, 임의적 적용실태를 분석하여, 스노젤렌 본래의 장점을 살릴 수 있는 이론적 근거를 모색하고 중도중복 장애인과 그들의 교육을 위한 시사점을 논의하였다. 이를 통해 궁극적으로는 스노젤렌에 대한 국내 특수교육 및 치료교육계의 관심을 이론적이고 비판적으로 정향하기 위함이다.

영문 초록

At first, this study aims to make an overview about the theoretical basis of the concept “Snoezelen”. In the view of literature analysis on “Snoezelen”, its history, performance form and its principles were characterized. The Snoezelen-concept was developed actually as the program of recreations and relax ion for the people with severe and multiple disabilities, in Netherlands in 1970's. This concept without any obligations for learning or developing was recently introduced und established in Korea, but just as a therapeutic approach for these people. Another point of discussion in this work is related on the critical analysis and making clear about the theoretical immanent limits on anthropological and ethical dimension of this concept. Generally the critic on the Snoezelen praxis is directed that the concept is transformed uncritical and capriciously for the intervention to these people in the area of special education, therapy and social work. The theoretical argument about the positive meaning of this concept, from the beginning as a recreation program, it could be pedagogical very meaningful to understand their life. Furthermore, this study could contribute as theoretical and critical orientation to this conception in Korea, where the educational and therapeutic interests on it are drawing out.
