영문 초록

This article deals with the retrospects and perspectives of researches on the Anglo-American Commercial law in Korea. Since the Korean legal system adopted that of Germany, there are so many things strange to the Korean researchers who are interested in Anglo-American commercial law. Despite the basic infra for researching the Anglo-American legal system in the past, so many researchers have been tried to introduce the system and interested in relatively many fields of commercial law. Through this survey, I would like to point out some matters as an obstacle and suggest several tasks for better future of academic communities. First, We should emphasize the importance of basic theory of Anglo-American private law. Without the understanding of basic theory, we could not expect the fruitful research. Second, in order to vitalize the research on the Anglo-American commercial law, academic society, especially initiated by academic association, should make a plan for systematic research on the Anglo-American private law. Third, we should prepare a dictionary of Anglo-American private. For this work, we would better step in the grocery of Anglo-American private law. Without the unification of basic and technical terms of Anglo-American private law, the right understanding and research on the Anglo-American law will be a long and faraway to achieve.
