영문 초록

This paper was designed in order to find out the actual condition and prospect in near future of Chinese poetry association which held in Daejeon and Chungnam area Province after 19 centry. There were 15 poetry associations in the area according to surveyed data. Besides. It is possible to be some poetry associations which is not discovered still. However, according to the research via the author's exploration, the number which published an authorized name and held a poetry association regularily or inregularily is like that. The number of menbers in a poetry association is from 7 to 90 people, and recently, most menbers of a poetry association tend to be more than 30 people. Mainly, the areas which has a poetry association are Chunyang, Buyuo, Daejeon, Nonsan, Chunan, and Seochun. Other areas are also presumed, but the evidence aren't found out. Many traditional scholars of Chinese classics suffered from the situation of a rapid society such as the confusion of the late Chosun Dynasty, the invision of Japan, and the introduction of the western culture. So far, Chinese classics has been excluded thoroughly in policy and society. Some of those who learned traditional learning kept up with a modern society, but many people spent the rest of their lives in the country. They saw the decline of Chinese classIcs and the downfall of traditional poetry, grieving it. So, they made their efforts to revice such a reality via a poetry association. From 1960 to present, one of important resons organized actively in Daejeon and Chungnam area Province is for stimulation of Chinese classics and revIval of the mood of poetry. Through a poetry association, they enjoy their lives with drink and nature, and satisfy the desire of creation for Chinese literature. At the same time, they intend to protect traditional culture with the effectiveness. Such a poetry association is motive power which is not extinct socially, and keeps going on ceaselessly. The number that participates in a society is hundreds, and this is an evidence which for today Chinese literature in the main stream of Korean litereature is not extinct and is created constantly. The trace of their activities should be kept by our attention and affection in order not to be terminated as one of local traditional culture. I feel terribly sorry that it can not go for a long time since there is not next genernation to succeed to.
