The post-colonialization in Oh, Jang-Whan's poems focuses on two aspects in general, which criticizes and denies the tradition that suppress and restrict human being similar to the logic of Japanese colony, and that reveals the wholeness of the estranged, nameless populace by upper classes in conspiracy with Japanese colony. He strongly denied the tradition and custom based on the ethic feudalism of Confucianism. The traditions he denied contained the conservativeness based on the Confucian order and feudal father in close connection with unconcerned Confucian authority. Therefore, this tradition is not one that contains positiveness and negativeness but negative one. That is, this tradition was not the progenitors themselves but Juja-oriented thought system which oppressed ancestors and the feudal order system that oppressed people such as their pedigrees and the doors of virtuous women. He overthrew the tradition for high classes, throughly turning away populace. Oh, Jang-Whan warmly continue to embrace "farmers," "kisaeng," "mother," and persecuted, estranged neighbors who are restricted by Japanese colony and old customs. He finds out and reveals the wholeness of nameless populace life, oppressed by authoritarianism and feudalism in the period of Japanese colony. The possibility of critical reflection to the colonial reality, tradition denial and populace consciousness embracing persecuted, estranged neighbors makes him come from his belief that leads not to "the way of the literature for the literature but to the way of the literature for the literature." In this light, there is a logic that 'a youth orienting for the literature' should fight for the old traditions and customs and true literature should be 'the literature for human being.' He reveals his volition that there should be the literature for human being, denial literature against the old traditions and customs, the liberation literature not being subordinate to the traditional regulations and order but freedom from there. In conclusion, Oh, Jang-Whan embraced persecuted, oppressed, estranged neighbors by the tradition and criticized those who admired and protected the tradition that oppressed human beings, penetrating into the colonialization of Japanese colony with the literal belief to 'the literature for human being'.
