대안학교 설립 초기 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 대안학교 설립 초기 경험의 본질을 파악하고 대안학교 설립의 새로운 실천 방향을 모색하는 데 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 대안학교를 설립한 설립자 5명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 실시하였고, Colaizzi의 분석 방법을 활용하여 4가지 범주인‘행복과 삶의 가치를 추구하는 교육공동체’,‘교육공동체의 열정과 헌신’,‘교육을 통한 변화와 성장’,‘대안학교의 향후 운영 과제’로 분류하였다. 주요 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대안학교의 설립은 학생들의 행복과 삶의 가치를 추구하는 교육을 실현하기 위해 교육공동체로서의 역할을 충실히 수행해야 한다. 둘째, 대안학교의 설립과 운영은 교사, 학생, 학부모의 3주체가 연대와 협력으로 이루어지는 대안교육이어야 한다. 셋째, 대안학교의 설립과 초기 운영을 위해서는 교육 철학과 가치에 대한 깊은 탐색과 교육과정의 혁신을 통해 이루어져야 한다. 넷째, 대안학교의 설립과 초기 운영을 위해서는 지속적인 재정 지원과 인력 확보, 민간 협력과 지역사회의 자발적 지원, 투명한 소통과 성공 사례 공유 그리고 학부모의 대안교육 이해를 높이기 위한 다양한 교육 프로그램이 제공되어야 한다. 본 연구는 대안학교를 설립하고 초기 운영에서 발생하는 어려움과 과정, 그리고 설립의 중요한 요건에 대한 설립자의 노력을 심층적으로 분석하고, 향후 대안학교 설립과 운영의 새로운 방향성을 제시한다는 점에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the initial experience of establishing an alternative school and to seek a new direction of practice for the establishment of an alternative school. In order to achieve this research purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted with five founders who established an alternative school, and using Colaizzi's analysis method, they were classified into four categories: 'Educational Community Pursuing Happiness and Value of Life', 'passion and Commitment of the Educational Community', 'Change and Growth through Education', and 'Future Operational Tasks of Alternative Schools'. Based on this, the main conclusions are as follows. First, the establishment and operation of alternative schools must faithfully play a role as an educational community in order to realize education that pursues the values of students' happiness and life. Second, the establishment and operation of alternative schools should be alternative education in which the three actors of teachers, students, and parents are formed through solidarity and cooperation. Third, for the establishment and operation of alternative schools, it is necessary to conduct a deep search for educational philosophy and values and innovation in the curriculum. Fourth, various educational programs must be provided to continuously provide financial support and manpower, voluntary support from private cooperation and local communities, transparent communication and sharing of success stories, and to enhance parents' understanding of alternative education. This study is meaningful in that it analyzes in-depth the difficulties and processes that arise in establishing and operating alternative schools and the founder's efforts on important requirements for establishing them, and suggests a new direction for the establishment and operation of alternative schools in the future.
