국문 초록

본 연구에서는 센다 미츠루가 지금까지 연구해 온 놀이 공간에 대한 연구 성과와 이를 바탕으로 구현한 놀이 공간과 관련한 문헌 분석을 통해 앞으로 우리나라에서 진행되는 혁신적인 놀이 공간 변화에 대한 함의점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 센다 미츠루의 저서 및 관련 논문과 보고서를 수집하여 문헌연구를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 센다 미츠루는 놀이 공간에 대한 연구를 위해 다각도로 아이들의 놀이 현황 및 놀이 행동을 분석해 왔으며, 그 결과 유아들에게 필요한 6개의 놀이 공간을 제시하고, 이 공간들이 서로 유기적인 관계를 맺고 순환할 수 있으면서 끊임없이 놀이가 발현할 수 있는 유환구조를 제시하였다. 그리고 다양한 놀이 요소를 제공하는 놀이도구의 건축화가 이루어진 특징을 나타냈다. 둘째, 센다 미츠루의 건축 이론과 그의 설계 구조가 우리나라 유아교육기관의 놀이 공간에 주는 함의를 찾아보았다. 유아의 놀이 주체성을 살리는 순환적 이동성을 확보하고 유아들의 놀이 의욕을 고취시키는 불안정성을 도입해야 하며, 유아들의 놀이를 촉진하는 다양한 어포던스 제공의 필요성을 환기시켰다.

영문 초록

In this study, we attempted to derive implications for future innovative changes in play spaces in Korea through the research results on play spaces that Mitsuru Senda has studied so far and the analysis of play space-related literature implemented based on them. For this purpose, a literature study was conducted by collecting Mitsuru Senda's books and related papers and reports. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, Senda Mitsuru has analyzed children's play status and play behavior from various angles to research play spaces, and as a result, presented six play spaces necessary for infants, and established an organic relationship between these spaces to circulate. It presented a circular structure that allows play to occur continuously while being able to do so. And it was characterized by the architectural design of play equipment that provides various play elements. Second, we looked into the implications of Mitsuru Senda's architectural theory and his design structure on the play spaces of Korea's early childhood education institutions. It was necessary to secure circular mobility that preserves children's play identity, introduce instability to encourage children's desire to play, and call attention to the need to provide various affordances to promote children's play.
