국문 초록

본 연구는 부모-자녀 의사소통에서 몸짓언어 사용과 자녀의 인지적 유연성 간 관계를 알아보기 위한 기초연구이다. 부모-자녀 의사소통에서 몸짓언어 사용과 자녀의 인지적 유연성 간 관련성이 국내외 학술 논문에서 제시된 연구 결과들을 통해 발달적 관점, 인지적 정보처리 관점, 신경과학적 관점에서 탐색 되었다. 그 결과, 인지적 유연성과 몸짓언어 사용이 신경 네트워크와 인지적 정보처리 관점에서 공유되는 부분이 있음이 확인되었고, 몸짓언어 사용이 부모-자녀 의사소통과 언어발달을 촉진하고, 몸짓 언어를 사용한 의사소통이 자녀의 인지적 정보처리 과정에 영향을 미침으로써 자녀의 인지적 유연성을 촉진할 수 있다는 가능성이 도출되었다. 이에 부모-자녀 의사소통에서 몸짓언어 사용과 자녀의 인지적 유연성 간 관계에 대한 가설적인 기초가 마련되었다. 마지막으로 연구의 결과에 대한 논의와 함께 연구의 시사점과 제한점이 추후 연구에 대한 제언과 함께 제시되었다.

영문 초록

This study is a foundational investigation into the relationship between the use of gestural language in parent-child communication and children's cognitive flexibility. The relationship was explored through developmental, cognitive information processing, and neuroscientific perspectives, drawing on findings from both domestic and international academic literature. The results indicate that cognitive flexibility and the use of gestural language share common elements from the perspectives of neural networks and cognitive information processing. It was found that the use of gestural language can promote parent-child communication and language development, and that gestural communication can influence children's cognitive information processing, potentially enhancing their cognitive flexibility. Consequently, a hypothetical foundation for the relationship between gestural language use in parent-child communication and children's cognitive flexibility has been established. The discussion includes the implications and limitations of the study, along with suggestions for future research.
