남녀 전기 노년기 부부친밀감 경험에 관한 합의적 질적연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 전기 노년기 부부친밀감에 관해 참여자의 고유한 경험을 토대로 부부친밀감이 어떻게 경험되며, 그 경험의 남녀 차이는 어떠한지를 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 남성 11명과 여성 14명을 면담하였으며 분석과정은 합의적 질적연구 방법론(CQR)에 따라 진행되었다. 분석결과, 부부친밀감 정의, 유지요인, 저해요인, 호혜성, 중요성, 향상 방안이라는 6개 영역으로 분류되었으며, 각 영역별 범주를 가장 높은 빈도 중심으로 살폈을 때 ‘정의’로는 남녀 모두 곁에서 함께 하는 것이고, ‘유지요인’에서 남 성은 존중과 배려, 여성은 자녀로, ‘저해요인’에서 남녀 모두 배려하지 않는 소통방식으로 공통되게 나타났다. ‘호혜성’에서는 자신이 배우자에게 하는 친밀감표현으로 남성은 인정하는 표현을 할 때이고, 여성은 배우자를 돌봐줄 때였으며, 배우자가 자신에게 하는 친밀감 표현으로 남성은 함께 할 때, 여성은 자신을 돌봐줄 때였다. ‘중요성’에서 남성은 둘 밖에 안 남았기 때문이었지만, 여성은 상호돌봄이 필요하기 때문이었다. ‘향상 방안’으로는 남녀 모두 배려하는 소통하기였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 이해된 전기 노년기 부부친밀감 경험의 특성과 차이를 바탕으로 실천적 대안 마련의 필요성을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand how couples experience intimacy in early old age and how these experiences differ between men and women. Interviews were conducted with 11 men and 14 women, and the analysis was performed using Consesual Qualitative Research (CQR) methodology. The results were categorized into six domains: definition, maintenance factors, inhibiting factors, reciprocity, importance, and ways to enhance intimacy. The most frequent categories within each domain were as follows: In the ‘definition’ domain, both men and women defined intimacy as being together. In the ‘maintenance’ domain, respect and consideration were key for men, while children were important for women. In the ‘inhibiting factors’ domain, inconsiderate communication was common for both men and women. In the ‘reciprocity’ domain, men expressed intimacy through approval, and women felt intimacy when their husbands cared for them. In ‘importance’ domain, men emphasized the necessity due to being alone with their spouse, while women emphasized the need for mutual care. Lastly, in the ‘ways to enhance intimacy’ domain, both men and women highlighted the importance of considerate communication. Based on these findings, the study discusses the need for practical solutions tailored to the unique experiences and differences in marital intimacy among early old age couples.
