무발화 학생을 대상으로 한 특수교사 수업 발문 연구: 초등학교 수업을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 무발화 학생에 대한 특수교사의 발문의 특성을 알아보는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 밝히기 위해 7명 특수교사의 14개의 수업 영상을 수집하였다. 그 안에서 관찰된 무발화 학생은 총 10명이다. 본 연구에서는 무발화 학생과 발화 가능한 학생 집단에 대한 교사 발문 빈도와 발문 유형을 비교하고, 무발화 학생에게 주로 나타나는 발문 패턴을 학생의 반응과 함께 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 무발화 학생에 대한 특수교사의 발문은 발화 가능한 학생에 비해 전체적으로 낮았으며, 발문 유형이 제한적이면서 동시에 단순 반복 발문이 압도적으로 높게 나타났다. 발문 패턴 분석 결과 기계적 반복, 기대하지 않음, 시⋅촉각 활용으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 특수교사의 발문이 학생의 의사소통 수준에 따라 다르게 사용되어야 하며, 비구어적 요소와 시각적인 자료를 활용한 특수교사 발문의 다양성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to explore the characteristics of special education teachers’ discourse directed towards non-verbal students. To elucidate this aim, 14 instructional videos from 7 special education teachers were collected. Among them, a total of 10 non-verbal students were observed. This study compared the frequency and types of teacher discourse between non-verbal students and verbally expressive student groups, and analyzed the predominant discourse patterns directed towards non-verbal students along with their responses. The analysis revealed the following results: Special education teachers’ discourse directed towards non-verbal students was generally lower compared to that directed towards verbally expressive students, with a predominance of simple repetitive discourse. Analysis of discourse patterns indicated mechanical repetition, unexpected responses, and utilization of visual and tactile cues. Based on these findings, it is suggested that special education teachers’ discourse should be adapted according to the students’ communication levels, and diversity in special education teacher discourse utilizing non-verbal elements and visual materials is proposed.
