국문 초록

이 연구는 청각장애학교 교사의 국어과 수업에서 경험한 공통교육과정 교육목표 및 교과내용의 적합성을 알아보기 위하여 질적연구로 수행되었다. 연구 참여자는 청각장애학교 특수교사 6명이며, 반구조화 질문지를 이용하여 교육목표와 교과내용에 관련한 연구 참여자의 의견을 면담으로 수집하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 청각장애학교 교사의 국어과 교육의 목표는 의사소통 능력과 문해력 향상이었다. 공통교육과정에서 제시하는 국어과 교육목표의 적합성은 적절성과 한계성으로 구분할 수 있었다. 둘째, 공통교육과정 국어과 교과내용에 대한 청각장애학교 교사의 의견은 보편적으로 적용 가능하다 또는 특수성을 고려한 적용이 요구된다는 의견으로 양분되었다. 청각장애학생을 위한 교과내용의 방향성은 어휘력 증진을 위한 내용 구성과 학생 수준에 따라 선택 가능한 내용 구성으로 정리되었다. 결론적으로 공통교육과정의 목표에는 보편성과 특수성이 함께 고려되어야 하고, 교과내용에서도 특수성을 고려한 보편적 지원이 반영되어야 함을 이 연구에서는 제안하고 있다. 또한 이 연구에서는 교직경력에 따른 차별적 시각에 대하여 서술하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted as a qualitative study to investigate the teaching experience of teachers at schools for the hearing impaired regarding the suitability of the Korean language education goals and curriculum content of the common curriculum. The study participants were six special teachers at a school for the hearing impaired. Using a semi-structured questionnaire, the opinions of research participants related to educational goals and educational content were collected through interviews. The research results are as follows. First, the goal of Korean language education for teachers at schools for the hearing impaired was to improve communication skills and promote literacy. The Korean language education goals presented in the common curriculum could be divided into appropriateness and limitations. Second, teachers at schools for the hearing impaired were divided into the opinion that the Korean language curriculum content of the common curriculum is universally applicable and the opinion that application that takes into account special needs is required. As desirable curriculum content for hearing impaired students, step-by-step application was required to improve the vocabulary of elementary school students, and it was hoped that it would consist of selectable content according to level and type. In conclusion, this study suggests that teachers at schools for the hearing impaired should consider both the universality and specificity of the common curriculum, and that universal support that takes into account the specificity of the curriculum content is also required. Additionally, this study describes discriminatory perspectives based on teaching experience.
