어머니의 부모신념과 양육행동의 관계에서 배우자협력과 어머니-자녀관계의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 어머니의 부모신념, 양육행동, 배우자협력, 어머니-자녀관계의 전반적 경향과 변인 간 관 계를 파악하고, 부모신념과 양육행동의 관계에서 배우자협력과 어머니-자녀관계의 매개효과를 검증 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 대상은 서울시에서 유아기 자녀를 양육하고 있는 어머니 181명이 었고, 각 변인의 경향성을 파악하기 위해 기술통계와 상관분석을, 매개효과를 분석하기 위해 Baron 과 Kenny(1986)의 단계적 회귀분석을, 매개효과의 유의성 검증을 위해 붓스트래핑을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 부모신념(자녀에 대한 신념, 부모에 대한 신념), 양육행동, 배우 자협력, 어머니-자녀관계(친밀, 갈등) 간에 대체로 유의한 상관관계가 있었으나, 자녀에 대한 신념과 갈등 간에, 부모에 대한 신념과 양육행동 간에, 부모에 대한 신념과 친밀 간에는 유의한 상관관계가 없었다. 둘째, 상관관계가 유의한 변인들에 한해 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 자녀에 대한 신념과 양육행 동 간 관계에서 배우자협력의 부분매개효과가, 자녀에 대한 신념과 양육행동 간 관계에서 친밀의 부 분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 어머니의 온정적인 양육행동을 도모하기 위해서 는 부모신념과 더불어 배우자협력과 어머니-자녀관계를 지원하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the overall trends and relationships among variables in parental beliefs, parenting behaviors, parenting alliance, and mother-child relationships of young children’s mothers, while also examining the mediating effects of parenting alliance and mother-child relationships on the association between parental beliefs and parenting behaviors. 181 mothers of young children living in Seoul participated in the study. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were employed to discern the tendencies of each variable, Baron and Kenny’ s (1986) Stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze the mediating effect, and Bootstrapping was used to test the significance. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were generally significant correlations among parental beliefs (beliefs about children, beliefs about parents), parenting behavior, spousal cooperation, and mother-child relationship (intimacy, conflict), but there were no significant correlations between beliefs about children and conflict, between beliefs about parents and parenting behavior, or between beliefs about parents and intimacy. Second, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect only for variables with significant correlations, the partial mediating effect of parenting alliance and intimacy was found in the relationship between beliefs about children and parenting behavior. The results of this study emphasize the importance of fostering parenting alliance and nurturing positive mother-child relationships alongside reinforcing parental beliefs to promote warm parenting behaviors among mothers
