성인 학습자를 위한 비교과 프로그램의 참여 동기가 교육 만족도와 참여지속의도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 성인 학습자의 비교과 프로그램 참여 동기, 교육 만족도, 참여지속의도의 인식정도를 고찰해보고, 참여 동기가 참여지속의도에 영향을 주는 과정에서 교육 만족도의 매개효과를 실증 분석 하는 것이 연구의 목적이다. 연구대상은 LiFE(대학의 평생교육 체제 지원 사업) 사업을 진행하고 있는 K대학교 정규학위과정에 재학하며 비교과 프로그램에 참여하는 성인 학습자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 최종 107부의 설문조사 결과를 실증분석에 사용하였다. 실증분석 결과 첫째. 비교과 프로그램 참여 동기는 학습지향형 동기만이 프로그램 교육 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 비교과 프로그램 참여 동기 하위요인 중 학습지향형 동기, 활동지향형 동기 순으로 참여지속의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 비교과 프로그램의 교육 만족도는 참여지속의도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 교육 만족도의 매개효과 분석에서는 학습지향형 동기가 교육 만족도를 부분매개로 참여지속의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 평생교육 체제 변화에 따른 성인 학습자를 위한 비교과 프로그램 개발 및 교육방향 제시와 더불어 성인교육의 질적 제고를 위한 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the motivation of adult learners participating in non-curricular programs, their satisfaction with educational experiences, and their intention to continue participation. Additionally, we empirically analyzed whether satisfaction with education mediates the relationship between motivation for participation and the intention to continue participation. This research focused on adult learners enrolled in a regular degree program at K University, which is actively involved in the LiFE (University Lifelong Education System Support Project) project and participating in extracurricular programs. A total of 107 survey responses were used for analysis. Our empirical analysis revealed several key findings: First, learning-oriented motivation significantly influenced satisfaction with program education. Second, among the sub-factors of motivation for non-curricular program participation, both learning-oriented and activity-oriented motivations significantly impacted the intention to continue participation. Third, satisfaction with non-curricular program education significantly influenced the intention to continue participation. Fourth, when examining the mediating effect of educational satisfaction, we found that learning-oriented motivation had a significant indirect effect on participation continuation intention through partial mediation by educational satisfaction. These findings serve as valuable data for enhancing the quality of adult education, developing extracurricular programs, and shaping educational directions for adult learners within the evolving lifelong education system.
