국문 초록

이 논문은 문학치료에 있어 환상성 적용 가능성을 사례연구를 통해 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 성인 남성을 대상으로 한 심층면담과 함께 김춘수의 환상시를 매체로 한 문학치료를 활용했다. 문학치료의 핵심은 참여자의 잃어버린 내면 언어를 발견하는 것으로 인지와 감정의 부조화를 통합하여 말하지 못한 언어의 재생이 궁극적인 목표라 할 수 있다. 기존의 문학치료는 서정시를 매체로 한 동류요법을 사용해 방어적인 성향이 강한 참여자를 수용하는 부분에 한계가 있었는데, 참여자의 무의식을 자극해 드러내게 만든다는 이질요법을 활용했다. 이 논문은 동료요법의 한계를 보완하고 참여자의 내면을 보다 입체적으로 조명하기 위해 김춘수의 환상시를 문학치료 매체로 활용했다. 환상은 “경이와 기괴 사이에서 독자의 망설임”이라 정의한 토도로프 이래 캐서린 흄은 문학이 미메시스와 환상의 산물이라고 했다. 다시 말해 개별 작품의 모방과 환상요소를 동시에 언급한다는 말이다. 환상은 사회적 금기에 맞서는 반문화적 전복과 위반의 양식이라고 말한 로즈메리 잭슨의 말대로 전복의 양식으로 존재한다고 볼 수 있다. 김춘수는 환상성과 무의미성을 고집스레 고수한 시인이다. 문학치료의 정신분석학적 접근법은 참여자의 무의식 층위에 잠재되어 있는 심리와 유년기억을 밝히고, 분석심리학적 접근으로 상징과 적극적 상상, 원형 개념을 적용했다. 게슈탈스 이론으로 ‘지금-여기’의 체험을 강조해 몸과 마음의 통합된 유기체로 살펴보았다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 연상되는 이미지를 그림으로 표현하고 재저작하는 작업을 통해 실재적 환상이 참여자의 창조적 체험을 가능케하고 참여자 자의적인 해석의 공간을 마련코자 도왔다. 참여자는 자신의 왜곡된 내면을 알아갈수록 놀라운 반응을 보였으며, 고도의 은유적 방식으로 내재된 무의식을 드러내었다. 물론 짧은 회기동안 참여자의 뒤엉킨 감정들이 온전히 치유되었다고 볼 수는 없지만, 자신에 대해 알아가고자 하는 욕망이 생겼다는 긍정적인 면모를 발견할 수 있었다. 앞으로 환상시 텍스트에 대한 연구가 본격적으로 진행될 필요가 있다고 제언한다.

영문 초록

This paper investigates the possibility of applying fantasy in literary therapy through a case study. For this purpose, in-depth interviews with adult men were used as well as literary therapy using Kim Chun-soo's fantasy poetry as a medium. Existing literary therapy had limitations in accommodating participants with strong defensive tendencies by using allogeneic therapy using lyric poetry as a medium, but heterogeneous therapy was used to stimulate and reveal the participant's unconsciousness. This paper used Kim Chun-soo's fantasy poetry as a literary therapy style to complement the limitations of peer therapy and shed more three-dimensional light on the participants' inner lives. Following Todorov, who defined fantasy as “the reader's hesitation between wonder and grotesqueness,” Catherine Hume said literature is a product of mimesis and fantasy. In other words, it simultaneously mentions the imitation and fantasy elements of individual works. Kim Chun-su is a poet who stubbornly adheres to fantasy and meaninglessness. The psychoanalytical approach of literary therapy uncovered the psychology and childhood memories latent in the unconscious level of the participants, and applied the concepts of symbols, active imagination, and archetypes through an analytical psychological approach. Gestals theory emphasized the experience of ‘here and now’ and examined it as an integrated organism of body and mind. Based on this theoretical background, through the work of expressing and rewriting reminiscent images through drawings, realistic fantasy enabled participants' creative experiences and helped provide a space for participants' arbitrary interpretation. As participants became more aware of their distorted inner self, they showed surprising reactions and revealed their inherent unconsciousness in a highly metaphorical manner. Of course, it cannot be said that the participant's tangled emotions were completely healed during the short session, but a positive aspect was discovered in that the participant had a desire to learn about himself. It is suggested that research on fantasy poetry texts needs to be conducted in earnest in the future.
