국문 초록

본 연구는 영아의 부정적 정서에 대한 교사의 감정코칭과 영아의 사회·정서적 유능성의 관계에서 교사-영아 상호작용의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구대상은 서울, 경기 및 강원 소재 어린이집의 2세 학급 영아 1,173명(남아 552명, 여아 621명)과 그들의 담임교사 312명이었다. 교사평정 질문지로 수집된 자료는 기초분석으로 기술통계 및 적률상관분석을 실시하고, Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 3단계 매개회귀분석과 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 영아의 부정적 정서에 대한 교사의 정서코칭이 영아의 사회·정서적 유능성에 미치는 영향에서 교사-영아 상호작용은 완전매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 영아의 사회·정서적 유능성을 향상시키기 위해서는 영아의 부정적 정서에 대한 교사의 감정코칭을 기반으로, 보육 일과에서 교사가 영아와 긍정적이고 질 높은 상호작용을 하는 것이 중요하다.

영문 초록

This study examines the mediating effect of teacher-infant interactions on the relationship between teachers’ emotional coaching for negative emotions and the social and emotional competence of two-year-old infants. This study’s participants were 1,173 infants (552 boys, 621 girls) attending two-year-old daycare center classes and 312 of their teachers in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon Province. Teachers completed questions on rating scales, and the collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and three-step mediated regression analysis. The statistical significance of the mediating effect was verified using a Sobel test. The results indicate that teacher-infant interaction completely mediated the relationship between teachers’ emotional coaching on two-year-old infants’ negative emotions and social and emotional competence. This study’s results suggest that positive and high-quality teacher-infant interactions should be performed based on the teacher's emotional coaching on infants’ negative emotions to promote infants’ social and emotional competence.
