국문 초록

이 연구는 표현예술치료 이론인 ETC(Expressive Therapies Continuum)를 기반으로 하여 연극치료를 위한 통합 예술치료이론으로서의 적용 가능성을 탐색하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. ETC 이론은 인간 발달과 뇌의 구조, 신경과학을 기반으로 한 시스템적 모델(framework)로, 미술치료 분야에서 유용하게 적용되고 있으며 예술표현이 가진 치료적 특성을 범주화하여 치료과정을 구성하는 데 연극치료를 포함한 타 예술치료 분야와의 범용성을 갖고 있다. 연극치료와 관련된 선행연구 및 문헌들을 기초로 하여, ETC의 다양한 수준과 치료적 요인을 통해 연극치료의 이론을 재해석하고 자 했으며 연구결과로는 연극치료 이론의 다양한 개념적 맥락과 정의, 그리고 치료적 특성들이 ETC 이론의 구성요소 및 수준들과의 밀접한 상호관련성을 갖고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, ETC 이론에 기반한 연극치료 중심의 통합 예술치료의 구성에 대한 가능성도 점검하였다. 이 연구를 통해 표현예술치료로서의 연극치료가 갖는 통합적 성격 및 통합예술치료이론으로서의 ETC의 정체성이 더욱 구체화되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the theory and practice potential of drama therapy as an integrated art therapy based on ETC (Expressive Therapies Continuum), a theory of expressive arts therapy. ETC is a systematic model framework based on human development, brain structure and neuroscience, and can be usefully applied in various fields of arts therapy. Although ETC initially started from art therapy, it has useful integration in other arts therapy including drama therapy, in categorizing the therapeutic characteristics of all artistic expressions. Based on previous research and literature related to drama therapy, I attempted to reinterpret the theory of drama therapy through various levels of ETC and therapeutic factors. The research results include various conceptual contexts, definition and therapeutic characteristics of drama therapy theory. It was confirmed that they have a close correlation with the components and levels of ETC theory. In addition, it was able to explore the possibility of constructing integrated art therapy centered on drama therapy based on ETC theory. This study is expected to help further specify the integrative nature of drama therapy as expressive arts therapy and the identity of ETC as an integrated arts therapy theory.
