대학생 집단 특성에 따른 디지털 미디어 리터러시 차이 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 성별, 학년별, 전공별 집단 특성에 따른 디지털 미디어 리터러시 차이를 분석함으로써 관련 교육 프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 서울, 인천, 충청도에 소재한 3개 대학교의 교수학습개발원 홈페이지에 디지털 미디어 리터러시 온라인 검사를 탑재한 후, 자발적으로 응답한 대학생 875명의 자료를 대상으로 t증과 Anova 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 성별에 따라 디지털 미디어 리터러시 총합은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 남학생은 SW 중심 사회 적응 능력이 여학생은 ICT 기본역량과 SNS 활용 및 협업능력이 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학년별 차이 분석 결과, 4학년의 디지털 미디어 리터러시 총합 수준은 1학년보다 유의미하게 높았으며 하위영역 ICT 기본역량, 기본 업무 활용 능력, SW 중심 사회 적응 능력, 인터넷과 컴퓨터 활용 능력에서 학년별로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 전공별 차이 분석 결과, 소프트웨어 사회 중심 적응 능력 영역을 제외하고 디지털 미디어 리터러시 총합과 하위요인 모두에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data necessary for developing related educational programs by analyzing differences in digital media literacy according to group characteristics of college students by gender, grade, and major. For this purpose, an online test of digital media literacy was installed on the website of the CTLs of three universities located in Seoul, Incheon, and Chungcheong-do. Then t-test and Anova test were conducted on the data of 875 college students who voluntarily responded. As a result of the study, there was no statistically significant difference in total digital media literacy by gender, but male students showed significantly higher SW—oriented social adaptation ability, and female students showed significantly higher ICT basic competency and SNS utilization and collaboration ability. The total level of digital media literacy in 4th grade was significantly higher than that of 1st grade. Further significant differences were found by grade in the subfactors ICT basic competency, basic work utilization ability, SW-centered social adaptation ability, and Internet and computer utilization ability. As a result of analysis of differences by major, no statistically significant differences were found in both the total and sub-factors of digital media literacy, except for the software society—oriented adaptive ability factor.
