국문 초록

본 연구는 국제결혼으로 한국에 이주한 이주여성들의 이중언어 교육강사 경험 연구이다. 결혼 이주여성들의 이중언어 강사 경험을 인터뷰한 결과를 분석하였다. 본 연구대상은 결혼 이주여성으로 교육강사 3명(태국, 필리핀, 일본)이다. 연구기간은 2022년 10월 6일-10월 8일(1차), 10월 11월 10일-11월 12일(2차)까지 실시하였다. 이중언어 교육은 한국 생활적응과 의사소통에 필수 요소이다. 연구참여자들은 이중언어 교육경험을 통해 자신감을 갖게 되었으며, 학생들을 지도하면서 다양한 교수학습자료를 제작하였으며, 학습자의 눈높이 맞게 교육을 실시하고 있었다. 특히 다문화 가정 청소년들의 이중언어 발달과 정체성 형성, 학업성취 및 정서와 심리적 측면에서 효과가 있었다고 하였다. 이는 국제 교류가 활발한 현대 사회에서 다문화적 수용성과 이중언어 능력은 다문화가정 청소년들의 이중언어 학습에 효과적이며 전문적인 이중언어 교육프로그램 개발이 선행되어야 함을 알 수 있다. 즉, 이중언어 교육 정책에 대한 홍보와 전문가 양성이 필요하다고 할 수 있다. 이에, 결혼 이주여성과 청소년들의 이중언어 교육을 재평가하고 질적 수준을 향상시키는 데에 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

This study is a study of the experiences of immigrant women who immigrated to Korea through international marriage as bilingual education instructors. The analysis focused on the results of interviews with married immigrant women about their experiences as bilingual instructors. The subjects of this study were married immigrant women and three educational instructors (Thailand, the Philippines, and Japan). The research period was conducted twice, from October 6 to October 8, 2022 (first round) and from October to November 10 to November 12, 2022 (second round). Bilingual education is an essential element for adaptation to life and communication in Korea. The research participants established a bicultural identity in Korea, gained confidence in their bilingual abilities, and produced and used various teaching and learning materials while teaching students. In particular, it was found to be effective in the bilingual development, identity formation, academic achievement, and emotional and psychological aspects of youth from multicultural families. This shows that the development of a professional double language education program is necessary. In a modern society with active international exchange, multicultural acceptance and bilingual skills will have a positive impact on the future of youth from multicultural families. In particular, it can be said that promotion and support for bilingual education policies are needed, and training of experts is necessary. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute to re-evaluating and improving the quality of bilingual education for married immigrant women and adolescents.
