청소년의 온라인 여가로서 스마트폰 과의존이 학업무기력에 미치는 영향: 또래관계의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년이 지각하는 온라인 여가로서의 스마트폰 과의존이 학업무기력에 미치는 영향에서 또래관계의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 한국아동·청소년패널조사 2018의 데이터 가운데 제2차년도(2018) 중학교 1학년 데이터를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 스마트폰 과의존, 학업무기력, 또래관계간 상관관계 분석 결과 스마트폰 과의존과 학업무기력은 정(-)적 상관관계가 나타났다. 스마트폰 과의존, 학업무기력과 또래관계는 부(-)적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년이 지각하는 스마트폰 과의존이 또래관계에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년이 지각하는 스마트폰 과의존이 학업무기력에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 청소년이 지각하는 스마트폰 과의존이 학업무기력에 미치는 영향에서 또래관계가 부분매개요인으로 검증되었다. 따라서 스마트폰 과의존 예방관련 프로그램 내용에서도 또래관계 증진 활동들을 포함해야 할 것이며, 학습에 활용할 수 있는 올바른 스마트폰 활용 어플이나 방법에 대한 내용이 포함될 수 있도록 프로그램을 구성하여 개입해야 할 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediated effects of peer relationships in the impact of the perceived smartphone overdependence on academic helplessness. The subject of this study was data from the first grade of middle school in the first year (2018) among the data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The results of the study are as follows. First, As a result of analyzing the correlation between smartphone overdependence, academic helplessness, and peer relationship, there was a positive correlation between smartphone overdependence and academic helplessness. Second, Adolescents' perceived overdependence on smartphones was found to be a factor affecting peer relationships. Third, Adolescents' perceived overdependence on smartphones was found to be a factor affecting academic helplessness. Finally, Peer relationships were verified as a partial mediating factor in the effect of overdependence on smartphones perceived by adolescents on academic helplessness. Peer relations promotion activities should also be included in the contents of programs related to the prevention of overdependence on smartphones. And It is suggested that the program should be formed and intervened so that the contents of the correct smartphone application or method that can be used for learning can be included.
