‘심미적 감성 역량’의 페다고지론적 의미 고찰

국문 초록

미래 핵심역량 기반 교육은 지속가능한 발전을 이루기 위해 과거와 미래를 잇는 현재 합리적이고 효율적인 교육의 방향과 목표를 설정함으로써 구체적으로 어떤 인간을 길러내야 할 것인가에 대한 페다고지적인 인식에서 기인한 것이라고 할 수 있다. 페다고지(pedagogy)는 인간 고유의 개별화된 경험의 가치를 보편적 원리에 의해 시스템을 갖춘 교육 기법에 대한 일반 이론으로서 ‘교육학’과는 구별되는 학문적 용어로 교육과정 개발, 수업, 교육학으로 이어지는 실천적 토대를 제공한다. 이 연구는 초연결화, 초지능화, 생태환경 변화에 따른 대전환 시대 미래 핵심역량의 출현에 따른 역량 기반 국가 교육과정 개발의 배경과 역량교육의 쟁점을 살펴보고, 총론에서 제시된 ‘심미적 감성 역량’이 각론 교육과정에서 구체화되어 실천되기 어려운 핵심역량임을 착안하여, 범교과적 페다고지와 예술적 페다고지를 통해 그 의미를 고찰한다. 이 연구를 통해 ‘심미적 감성 역량’은 첫째, 단순히 예술 교과에만 관련된 협소한 접근이 아니라 보다 포괄적으로 인간 삶의 본질과 잠재적 가능성을 발현하여 주체적이고 협력적 인간으로 기르기 위한 보편적 페다고지의 의미를 지니고 있으며, 둘째, 과거와 미래를 잇는 현재 예술적 탁월성과 창조성이 실천적 활동으로 이어지는 과정에서 다중적인 인간의 감각이 총체적인 인지와 판단력 배양의 실천을 가능하게 하는 예술적 페다고지의 의미와 가치가 있음을 알 수 있다. 결론적으로, 심미적 감성 역량은 대전환 시대 산업경제의 효율성에 기초한 여타의 미래 핵심역량과 차별화된 역량으로서 모든 교과에서 그리고 기초교육의 토대가 되는 초등교육에 범교과적으로 적극 반영되어야 하며, 예술의 역할이 모든 교과 교육의 목표와 내용, 교수학습 및 평가로 이어지는 구체화된 방법적 실천에 반영되어야 그 성과를 극대화할 수 있는 역량임을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Future core competency-based education can be attributed to a pedagogical perception of what kind of human beings should be raised specifically by setting reasonable and efficient educational directions and goals to achieve current sustainable development linking the past and the future. Pedagogy is a general theory of educational techniques with systems based on universal principles, which provides a practical foundation for curriculum development, instruction, and pedagogy based on core competencies. This study examines the background of competency-based national curriculum development and competency education issues due to the emergence of future core competencies in the era of hyper-connected, hyper-intelligent, and ecological environment changes. Based on prior research, the research method finds the meaning and value of ‘Aesthetic Emotional Competency’ as one of the future core competencies that can be approached more comprehensively as a universal general education that expresses the nature and potential of human life. The results of this study show that aesthetic emotional capabilities are differentiated from other future core capabilities based on the efficiency of the industrial economy and should be actively reflected in all subjects in the Great Transformation Era and in elementary education. This suggests that the role of art is the ability to maximize its performance only when it is reflected in the specific methodology that leads to the goals and contents of all subject education, teaching and learning, and evaluation.
