국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화가정 청소년들의 적응을 향상시키기 위한 목적에서 다문화가정 청소년의 이중문화수용태도와 국가정체성의 종단적 발달양상에 따른 잠재계층을 분류하고, 계층별 예측요인과 문화적응스트레스의 차이를 알아보았다. 연구대상으로 다문화청소년 패널조사(MAPS)의 3차년도에서 6차년도 시점의 1,458명의 자료를 활용하였으며, 분석방법으로는 잠재계층성장모형, 다항로지스틱 회귀분석, 변수 차이 검증(Wald-test)을 사용하였다. 주요 연구결과로 첫째, 4년간 이중문화수용태도와 국가정체성의 발달양상에 따른 잠재계층은 ‘이중 문화수용 유지-국가정체성 유지’, ‘이중문화수용 감소-국가정체성 유지’의 상이한 이질적인 유형으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 잠재계층의 예측요인은 성별, 사용가능한 외국어 여부, 외국출신 부모나라 방문횟수, 자아존중감으로 확인되었으며, 이 요인들 중에 자아존중감의 영향력이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 잠재계층별 문화적응스트레스의 차이로 이중문화수용과 국가정체성이 모두 유지되는 집단이 이중문화수용이 감소하는 집단보다 유의하게 문화적응 스트레스가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 근거하여 다문화가정 청소년들의 이중문화수용성과 국가정체성에 관한 함의점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to classify the patterns in the longitudinal development of multicultural adolescents’ bicultural acceptance attitude, national identity, and to explore predictors, acculturative stress by those latent classes. The subjects in this study were 1,458 Panel data(MAPS) and the data were statistically analyzed using latent class growth model, multinominal logistic regression, and the wald-test. Major findings were as follows. First, two latent classes were identified including ‘bicultural acceptance maintain-national identity maintain’, and ‘bicultural acceptance decrease-national identity maintain’. Second, the main predictors were gender, foreign language availability, the number of visits to parents’ country of origin, and self-esteem. Among the self-esteem were predicted the latent classes highly. Third, acculturative stress of the class of bicultural acceptance maintain-national identity maintain was lower than other class. Based on the results of this study, specific implications were proposed to help adaptation of multicultural adolescents.
