유아의 연령별 인성교육 프로그램의 연구경향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 연령별 인성교육 프로그램의 연구경향 분석을 통해 유아의 발달적 특성에 기초한 실천적이고 체계적인 유아 인성교육 관련 프로그램 개발에 긍정적인 방향성을 제시하고자 한다. 연구대상 논문은 2001년부터 2014년 3월까지 출간된 박사논문 10편, 석사논문 85편, 학술지 22편, 총 117편이며, 자료 분석을 위해 만3, 4, 5세 연령별로 인성교육 덕목, 측정변인, 활동유형의 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 연구결과와 함의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연령별 인성교육 8개 덕목 관련논문은 연령이 높아질수록 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 특히 5세에서는 급격히 높아졌다. 인성교육 덕목 중 효와 책임감 관련논문의 분포가 질서, 배려, 존중, 협력에 비해 낮게 나타났다. 이는 윤리 도덕적 차원에서의 인성덕목 개발과 적용에 대한 관심을 야기한다. 둘째, 연령별 유아 인성교육 프로그램의 측정변인의 분포는 다소 차이가 있었다. 만3세에서는 인성발달, 자아기능, 정서적 기능, 사회적 기능에 대한 관련논문 수는 유사하나, 만4세에서는 정서적 기능, 인성발달, 사회적 기능 관련논문 수가 유사하며 자아기능이 상대적으로 낮았다. 만5세에서는 사회적 기능, 정서적 기능, 인성발달, 자아기능의 순이었다. 이는 유아의 발달적 특성과 인성교육 구성요소들 간의 연계성을 추론할 수 있다. 셋째, 유아 인성교육 프로그램의 활동유형은 만3, 4, 5세 전 연령에서 토의활동이 가장 많이 나타났고, 그다음으로 스토리텔링, 역할놀이, 협동학습, 현장학습 순으로 나타났다. 이는 유아들에게 인성관련 그림책을 활용한 토의활동이 가장 유용하게 활용될 수 있음을 알 수 있으며, 특히, 5세에서 스토리텔링을 활용이 증가함은 유아의 스토리텔링 구성력에 있어 논리적 응집력의 발달이 전제됨을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to figure out the current state of early childhood character education by analyzing the trends in contents of character education, measurement variables, and types of activity and to suggest its positive future of the development of practical and systematic character education programs based on young children's developmental features. For this study, 117 research publications related early childhood character education published from 1981 to March 2014 were selected. Frequency analysis and percentage of contents of character education, measurement variables, and types of activity on 3-, 4- 5-year-olds were computed for data analysis. The overall findings and implications of these results as follows. First, on the trend of eight character contents of early childhood education program, there were increased the number of research publication as child grows, and showed rapid increase tendency on the 5-year-olds, and decreased the number of research related of filial duty and responsibility among eight character contents than the theses of other character. These results are evoked the attentions of development of application on the character contents of ethical and moral context. Secondly, there was revealed the difference on research number related measurement variables(character development identity of self, emotional function, social function) according to young children's age. It infers from the association between young children's developmental features and the factors consisting of character education of early childhood. Thirdly, on the trend of type of activity, the number of research related on discussion through the picture books were the highest among the activities. Thus, activity of the discussion through picture book are very useful to improve character development for young children, and infers to use rapid increase of storytelling based on 5-year-olds' development logical cohesion.
