가족자원봉사활동이 청소년의 가족건강성 및 학교적응에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 가족자원봉사활동이 청소년의 가족건강성 및 학교적응에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 부산광역시 소재 건강가정지원센터에서 가족자원봉사단으로 활동하는 가족구성원 중 가족자원봉사활동에 참여를 희망한 청소년 29명을 표집하여 이중 15명은 실험집단에 나머지 14명은 통제집단에 배치하였다. 실험집단을 대상으로 주1～2회에 걸쳐 총 21회기 준비활동, 봉사활동, 교육활동, 정리활동의 내용으로 구성된 가족자원봉사활동을 실시하였다. 실험처치 효과를 검증하기 위하여 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 자료를 분석한 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족자원봉사활동은 청소년의 가족건강성 향상에 효과가 있다. 둘째, 가족자원봉사활동은 청소년의 학교적응 향상에 효과가 있다. 이상의 내용을 종합해 볼 때, 청소년의 가족건강성과 학교적응에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 방법의 하나로 가족이 경험을 공유할 수 있는 가족자원봉사활동의 적극적 장려가 필요하다. 가족이 여가를 함께하는 방안으로써 가족자원봉사활동은 가족건강성 향상을 위한 실천적 방법으로서 효과가 있으며, 증가하고 있는 청소년의 학교적응 문제를 해결하는데 유용한 방안으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of the family volunteering activity on adolescents’ family strengths and school adjustment. For the purpose of this study, 29 adolescents whose families were volunteering at Healthy Family Support Center in Busan were selected. 15 among 29 adolescents were placed to the experimental group, and the other 14 adolescents were placed to the control group. 15 adolescents in experimental group participated in the family volunteering activity which was consisted of 21 sessions from April till August 2012. In order to verify the difference between the experimental group and control group, ANCOVA was conducted on the result of the post test of the two groups, using the pre test as the covariate. The conclusions from the results and discussions are as follows: First, the family volunteering activity effect on the improvement of adolescents’ family strengths. It positively effect most of the sub-factors of family strengths, such as respect, attachment, communication, sharing values and purpose, devotion to one’s role, problem-solving ability, and social bond. Second, the family volunteering program effect on the improvement of adolescents’ school adjustment. It positively effect most of the sub-factors of school adjustment. Based on the conclusions, the family volunteering activity is strongly recommended to improve adolescents’ family strengths and school adjustments. The family volunteering activity is an effective practical method to improve family strengths. Moreover, it can be used as an effective way to resolve the increasing problem of adolescents’ school adjustment.
