대학생의 지역사회 문제해결 학습에 대한 혼합연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 지역사회 문제해결 학습 과정을 살펴보고, 학습의 효과를 확인하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 혼합연구를 선택하였다. 대학생 23명은 1학기 동안 지역사회 문제해결 학습을 하였고, 양적인 분석을 위해서 학습자들에게 학습 전과 후에 지역참여 의식, 봉사활동 자기효능감, 협력적 자기효능감, 창의적 문제해결력 검사를 하였다. 학습자들의 반성적 사고를 확인하기 위해서는 개방형 질문지와 심층 면접을 실시하였다. 질적인 분석을 위한 심층 면접에는 학생 7명이 참여하였고, 총 3회에 걸쳐 인터뷰한 결과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 대학생들은 지역사회 문제해결의 단계에 전공지식과 일반적 지식을 활용하여 지역의 문제를 해결할 수 있었다. 지역사회 문제해결 학습 전보다 학습한 후에 대학생들의 지역참여 의식, 봉사활동 자기효능감, 협력적 자기효능감, 창의적 문제해결력 점수가 더 유의하게 높았다. 학습자들은 심층 면접에서 협동심, 소속감, 지역사회의 문제 인식과 기여, 새로운 도전 의식을 가지게 되었다고 하였다. 따라서 대학생들을 위한 지역사회 문제해결 학습은 대학의 교육과정에 적용이 가능하다는 것과 대학생들에게 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것이 확인되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the learning process by conducting community problem solving and to examine the effects of the education. For this purpose the gathered quantitative and qualitative data on the changes in the students’ community problem solving skills was processed to show any changes in the students’ problem solving skills. 23 students participated in the study over the course of one semester. A pretest-posttest design was utilized in the study through consciousness of participation in community activities, self-efficacy from the community service, cooperative self-efficacy, creative problem solving abilities. While 16 students were given a written interview to fill out, a second group 7 students were interviewed in person three times over the course of semester. Analysis of t test showed posttest scores of the group were significantly higher than pretest scores of the group in all 4 variables. The more in-depth oral interviews, with students reporting on deeper sense of community and belonging along with their enhanced cooperative skills, contribution efforts, and improved creative problem abilities. Overall, the study found that community problem solving studies could be applied to university curriculum and that they could be a cause for positive change in the students’ awareness as well as their interactions with inside and outside of the classroom.
