대학생의 학교소속감과 학습참여의 관계에서 교수­학생 상호작용의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 학교소속감과 학습참여, 교수-학생 상호작용의 관계를 알아보고, 학교소속감과 학습참여의 관계에서 교수-학생 상호작용의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 B광역시, D광역시, 경상남도 C시에 소재한 대학교 재학생을 대상으로 학교소속감, 학습참여, 교수-학생 상호작용 척도 검사를 실시하였고 수집된 자료 중 총 273부(남학생 130명, 여학생 143명)를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0을 사용하여 기술통계 및 상관분석을 실시하였으며, 교수-학생 상호작용의 매개효과 검증을 위해 Baron과 Kenny가 제안한 절차에 따라 위계적 회귀분석과 Sobel test, Bootstrapping을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 학교소속감과 학습참여 간, 학교소속감과 교수-학생 상호작용 간, 학습참여와 교수-학생 상호작용 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 학교소속감과 학습참여의 관계에서 교수-학생 상호작용의 부분매개효과가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 대학생의 학습참여를 높이기 위해서는 학생 스스로 학교소속감을 느낄 수 있도록 노력하는 것과 더불어 학교에서 교수-학생 상호작용을 활발히 할 수 있는 환경을 제공하는 것이 중요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of professor-student interactions between the sense of school belonging and student engagement of university students. To accomplish this purpose, this study set up the research questions as follows: first,are there any relations among the sense of school belonging, professor-student interactions and student engagement of university students? Second, are there mediated effects of professor-student interactions between the sense of school belonging and student engagement of university students? Data was collected from 273 students sampled from 3 universities in Pusan City and Gyeongnam province, South Korea. Three measurement instruments were used for this study: the sense of School Belonging Scale, Student Engagement Scale and Professor-Student Interaction Scale. The statistical methods employed for the data analyses were Pearson correlations, mediation analysis of Baron and Kenny(1986), Sobel test, and Bootstrapping by using SPSS 25.0 program. The results of this study show as follows. First, there was a positive relationship between the sense of school belonging and student engagement and between professor-student interactions and school engagement respectively. Second, the relation between the sense of school belonging and student engagement was partial mediated by professor-student interaction. Therefore, to improve student engagement, it is needed to improve the students’ sense of school belonging and promote professor-student interactions. The implication and limitations based on these results were discussed with some suggestions for the future researchers
