미술치료사의 심리상담센터 운영 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 미술치료사의 심리상담센터 운영 경험을 생생하게 탐색하고 그 내용을 통합할 수 있는 경험의 구조, 즉 의미를 이해하고자 하였다. 본 연구에 적합한 11명의 미술치료사가 연구 참여자로 선정되었다. 자료 수집은 2022년 1월부터 3월까지 심층 인터뷰 형태로 자료가 포화될 때까지 진행되었으며, 이를 분석의 기초자료로 활용하였다. 자료의 분석은 Giorgi의 질적 분석 단계에 따라 수행되었으며, 이 단계에서 질적 연구에 풍부한 경험을 가진 전문가 2인의 지속적인 자문을 통해 분석 결과를 검증받았다. 본 연구에 대한 분석결과 326개의 의미단위를 발견하였으며, 24개의 하위 구성요소와 7개의 핵심 구성요소를 도출하였다. 미술치료사의 심리상담센터 운영 경험에 관한 본질적 주제는 ‘나만의 공간에서 소신껏 치료할 기대감으로 시작함’, ‘치료사와 운영자의 이중역할로 딜레마에 빠짐, ‘수익구조의 불안감과 과도한 행정업무에 어려움을 경험함’, ‘센터 내 모든 업무에 대해 책임을 지게 됨’, ‘치료사들과의 관계와 관리의 어려움을 경험함’, ‘내담자와 치료사로서의 나, 그리고 센터의 성장에 보람을 느낌’, ‘센터 활성화를 위한 변화의 필요성을 인식함’, 의 7개로 요약된다. 본 연구는 미술치료사가 심리상담센터를 운영하는 경험의 의미와 본질을 파악함과 동시에, 그들의 생생한 경험적 가치들을 탐색해 보았다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study sought to explore art therapists’ vivid experiences of operating a psychological counseling center, and identify the experience constructs that allow the integration of the contents of the experience in order to understand the meanings of the experiences. Participants in the study selected 11 art therapists suitable for this study as participants. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews from January to March, 2022 until data saturation was reached, and the collected data was used as basic analysis data. Data analysis was conducted according to Giorgi’s steps of qualitative data analysis, and during this stage, continuous consultation with two experts with plenty of experience in qualitative analysis was performed to verify the reliability and validity of analysis results. Data analysis generated 326 meaning units, 24 sub-constructs and 7 essential constructs. Essential themes of art therapists' experience in running psychological counseling centers start with the expectation of treating them faithfully in their own space, fall into a dilemma as a double role of therapist and operator, experience anxiety in profit structure and excessive administrative work, experience relationships with therapists, and need to develop the center's awareness. In conclusion, this study provided an understanding of the meanings and essential nature of art therapists’ experiences of operating a psychological counseling center and explored the authentic empirical values of their vivid experiences. Based on these contents, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
