사회적 회피 경향 성소수자의 미술치료 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사회적 회피 경향의 성소수자가 미술치료를 통해 어떤 경험을 했으며 그 경험의 의미가 무엇인지 심층적으로 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구참여자와 2022년 5월부터 2022년 9월까지 약 60분씩 총 13회의 미술치료를 시행하였고, 전 회기의 녹음파일, 축어록, 회기별 작품, 그림 검사 결과와 연구자의 기록물을 자료로 수집하여 내러티브 탐구로 재구성하였다. 연구참여자의 경험 이야기는 ‘집단생활: 괴롭힘과 불화, 가족과의 경험, 사회생활: 관계 맺기의 어려움, 섞이지 않는 “오리지널리티“’라는 주제로, 경험의 의미는 ‘지지받는 안전한 느낌, 현실적인 대안 찾기, 권위와의 불화 극복하기, “이제 눈도 뜰 때“’로 재구성하였다. 위 결과를 통한 본 연구의 논의는 첫째, 사회적 회피 경향의 연구참여자는 미술치료 과정에서 연구자와의 유대를 바탕으로 한 사회적 지지를 경험하였다. 둘째, 연구참여자는 미술치료를 통해 새로운 경험에 대한 긍정성과 개방성을 확장하였다. 셋째, 연구자는 본 연구를 통해 성소수자 미술치료에 있어 개인의 성별 정체성과 성적 지향을 그 자체로 긍정하고 지지해야 한다는 긍정적 심리치료의 주요한 가치를 고찰할 수 있었다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore in what ways an LGBTI+ person with social avoidance tendency experienced art therapy and the meaning of those therapeutic experiences. For this purpose, 13 therapy sessions were conducted for 60 minutes in each session from May 2022 to September 2022. The record of all sessions, verbatim records, artworks, KFD test results, and the researcher's notes were collected as data to conduct a narrative inquiry. Their experiences consist of four parts: school life (bullying and discordance); experience with family; social life (difficulty in forming relationships); and “Originality“ that does not mix. The meaning of experiences can be categorized as ’a feeling of being supported and safe, finding realistic alternatives, overcoming discord with authority, and “Now it's time to open my eyes“’. The discussion of this study based on the above results is as follows. First, the research participant experienced social support based on the bond with the researcher during the art therapy process. Second, the research participant expanded their positivity and openness to new experiences through art therapy. Third, through this study, the researcher was able to consider the main values of affirmative psychotherapy in LGBTI+ art therapy. Based on these contents, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
