지체장애 특수학교에서 실시한 학교 차원 AAC 지원의 성공 요인과 후속지원에 대한 교사 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 지체장애 특수학교에서 실시한 학교 차원 AAC 지원체계의 성공 요인과 향후 지원 요소에 대한 교사 인식을 조사하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 AAC 관련 전문적 교원학습 공동체를 이끌었던 교사와 학교 차원의 AAC 지원체계 담당 업무를 맡았던 교사 8명을 대상으로 초점 집단 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 먼저 학교 차원 AAC 도입 초기에는 무관심 또는 부담이 컸고, 교육과정과 연계된 운영에 어려움이 있었으며, 전문가에게 많이 의존하는 경향이 있었다. 둘째, 학교 차원 AAC 지원체계의 성공 요인으로 교사들은 AAC 지원체계의 필요성에 대한 적극적인 수용과 전문가와 교사 간 유기적 협력체계를 꼽았다. 그리고 업무 담당자 지정을 통한 지원의 연속성을 확보한 점과 관리자의 이해를 바탕으로 안정적인 행·재정 지원이 주요한 요인이었다고 하였다. 셋째, 학교 차원의 AAC 지원체계의 유용성으로 구성원의 인식 변화를 통한 학교 의사소통 교육의 중요성이 공감되는 학교 교육문화 형성과 일상적 자문이 가능한 지원체계의 선진화를 제시하였다. 마지막으로, 성공적 확산을 위한 향후 과제로 활용성을 반영한 예산 편성 등의 법·행정적 정책 개선과 실습 중심의 워크숍 개최 등의 의사소통 교육 실행을 위한 실제적인 지원이 필요하다고 하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 학교 차원의 AAC 지원체계의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 의사소통 교육 보완 교재 및 장비 사용 지침이 담긴 표준화된 수업 지원 모델 개발 등에 대한 논의 및 후속 연구에 관한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the teacher's perception of the successful factors for school wide AAC support system in special schools for students with developmental disabilities in the metropolitan area and the necessary factors for continuous support in the future. To achieve the research goal, 8 teachers, including those who led the professional teacher learning community and those who were responsible for school wide AAC support system, were selected as the focus group interview target. As a result, 4 main themes, 13 sub-themes, and 25 sub-themes were derived. The results showed that in the early stages of introducing AAC support system at the school level, there was indifference or burden, difficulties in operating it in conjunction with educational programs, and high dependence on experts. Second, teachers identified positive teacher acceptance and collaboration between experts and teachers as the success factors for school wide AAC support system. Maintaining continuity of support through designated task managers and stable financial support based on administrative understanding were also noted as important factors. The third, through school wide AAC support system, we experienced a change in which the recognition of members and school communication support system are advanced, and it was said that a school educational culture that naturally recognizes the importance of communication education was formed. Finally, it has been stated that practical support is needed for the improvement and supplementation of legal and administrative policies and communication education for successful expansion. Based on the results of the study on enhancing the communication education competence of schools, to increase the effectiveness of AAC support system at the school level, a standardized curriculum support model containing communication education supplementary materials and equipment usage guidelines was proposed for discussion and further research on development.
