노숙인의 탈시설과 시설재진입 경험에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 노숙인 시설에서 생활하면서 탈 노숙 및 사회복귀를 경험한 노숙인이 지역 사회 정착 이후 생활의 부정적인 양상은 어떠한 것이 있는지 그리고 그로 인해 다시 시설로 재진입하는 노숙인의 삶에 대한 이해를 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 현상학적 연구 방법 중 Colaizzi의 방법을 활용하여 노숙인 5명을 심층 면접하고 이를 토대로 자료를 분석하였다. 원 자료에서 구성한 범주들은 창살 없는 감옥에 갇힌 무기력한 삶, 공적지원을 통해 자활희망 엿보기, 탈 시설을 위한 정상화 도전, 삶의 희망을 가로막는 보이지 않는 난관에 부딪힘, 사고전환을 통한 다양한 영역에 도전하기 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 비추어 볼 때 탈 노숙 및 사회복귀 노숙인이 안정적인 지역사회 정착을 위해서는 지속적인 일자리 유지와 주거지 마련이 매우 중요한 요인으로 나타났으며, 또한 시설 재진입 방지를 위해서는 고립감 및 위축된 마음을 회복하기 위해서 시설 지지체계가 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이러한 연구결과에 기반하여, 주거우선모델 확립, 안정적인 주거가 동반된 고용 지원, LH매입임대주택 운영 개선 등의 함의를 제공하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to improve the understanding of the life of homeless people who are reentering the facility after being placed in instability and isolation in the process. To do this, five of the homeless were interviewed using Colaizzi's method. The categories constituted in the original data are as follows: helpless life trapped in a prison without a wall, hope for self-reliance through public support, challenge for normalization for disqualification, encounter with invisible obstacles to hope for life. The results of this study suggest that it is essential for resident homeless people to settle in a stable community. Facility support systems have also been found to be an important factor in recovering isolation and depressed minds. This study suggests that the gap between the subjective expectation that the homeless can become an independent citizen after settling in the community and the objective opportunity at the social structure level given to them is very large and that the search for the part to reduce the gap is meaningful.
