발달장애인의 대인관계와 우울, 스마트폰 과의존 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 발달장애인의 대인관계가 우울을 매개로 스마트폰 과의존에 영향을 미치는 모형과 스마트폰 과의존이 대인관계와 우울 간의 관계를 매개하는 모형을 검증해보고 이를 토대로 개입전략을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 수도권과 대전, 대구, 전라도 소재 장애인복지 관련 기관을 이용 중인 19세 이상 발달장애인을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하여 총 200부를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 우울은 대인관계와 스마트폰 과의존 간의 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타난 반면 스마트폰 과의존은 대인관계와 우울 간의 관계를 매개하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 발달장애인의 대인관계 상의 어려움이 우울 문제를 가져오고 이는 스마트폰 과의존으로 이어질 수 있음을 보여준다. 따라서 성인기 발달장애인의 대인관계 향상을 위한 사회성 기술 향상을 위한 프로그램 도입, 우울이나 스마트폰 과의존 문제를 스크리닝하고 연계하는 지원책의 마련 등이 필요함을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the mediation effect of depression in the relationship between interpersonal relationship and smartphone overdependence, and the mediation effect of smartphone overdependence in the relationship between interpersonal relationship and depression. These self-administered surveys were conducted by 200 persons with developmental disabilities over the age of 19, who utilized vocational rehabilitation centers and welfare agencies for person with disability in the metropolitan area, Daejeon, Daegu, and Jeolla Province. The final sample size of the study was 200. The results showed that depression fully mediated the relationship between interpersonal relationships and smartphone overdependence but smartphone overdependence did not mediate the relationship between interpersonal relationships and depression. These results suggest that poor interpersonal relationships result in depression, which may lead to smartphone dependence. Thus, policy makers and practitioners need to enhance mental health programs for improving social skills and reducing depression or smartphone dependence among persons with developmental disabilities.
