국문 초록

본 연구는 만 16세 여자 고등학생이 모래놀이치료를 통해 어머니와 사별한 슬픔을 극복하고 주체적인 자아정체감을 형성하는 청소년기의 통과의례 과정을 보여준 사례다. 모래놀이치료는 주 1회(50분), 총 47회기 진행하였다. 전체 상담 회기는 민담의 서사 형식인 순차적 구조에 따라 5단계로 구분하여 발달-상실의 단계, 위기-애도의 단계, 갈등-내향화의 단계, 절정-치유의 단계, 대단원-현실 적응의 단계로 상담 내용을 분석하였다. 분석한 결과 첫째, 발달-상실의 단계에서 내담자는 모래놀이치료 과정에서 어머니의 죽음을 슬퍼하고 자신의 감정을 자유롭게 표현하였다. 둘째, 위기-애도의 단계에서는 사별의 슬픔을 애도하고 심리적 모성분리를 시도하였다. 셋째, 갈등-내향화의 단계는 깊은 무의식으로 내향화를 통해 사별한 현실을 수용하고 극복하기 위해 고군분투하였다. 넷째, 절정-치유의 단계는 사별의 상처를 극복하고 긍정적인 심리적 변화가 일어나면서 현실에 적응하고자 노력하였다. 다섯째, 대단원-현실 적응의 단계는 자신의 미래를 설계하고 독립적이고 주체적으로 외부세계로 전진하는 과정을 보여주었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 어머니와 사별한 여자 고등학생이 모래놀이치료 과정에서 보여준 사별 극복과 청소년의 자아정체감 형성을 통한 외부 현실의 적응과정을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This case study shows a process in which a 16-year-old female high school student overcomes the grief of bereavement of her mother and forms an independent sense of self-identity through sandplay therapy. The sandplay therapy conducted over a total of 47 weekly sessions, and a session lasted 50 minutes. The entire counseling session is divided into 5 stages according to the sequential structure of the narrative form of folktales: development-loss stage, crisis-mourning stage, conflict-introversion stage, climax-healing stage, and finale-reality adaptation stage. The contents of counseling were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, first, in the stage of development-loss, the client mourned the death of her mother during her sandplay therapy and expressed her feelings freely. Second, in the phase of crisis-mourning, the grief of bereavement was mourned and psychological separation from motherhood was attempted. Third, the stage of conflict-introversion was a deep unconscious and struggled to accept and overcome the reality of bereavement through introversion. Fourth, in the climax-healing stage, we tried to adapt to reality while overcoming the wounds of bereavement and experiencing positive psychological changes. Fifth, the stage of final stage-reality adaptation showed the process of designing one's future and advancing to the outside world independently and subjectively. Therefore, this study aims to present the adaptation process to the external reality through the overcoming of bereavement and the formation of adolescents' self-identity as shown in the process of sandplay therapy by a female high school student who lost her mother.
