복무 부적응병사의 인형심리평가 단일 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 복무 부적응 병사가 전입 초기 부대 간부와의 상담에서 자신의 문제를 의도적으로 숨기거나 적은 개방성으로 인해 식별되지 않았던 호소문제들이 인형심리평가를 통한 인형치료 과정에서 서서히 나타나며 비자발적인 내담자를 자발적으로 호기심과 적극성을 가진 내담자로 변화시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 군대라는 획일되고 경직된 조직문화에서 사회적 내향성이 강하고 자아기능이 취약한 병사의 상담할 때 인형심리평가가 심층적으로 활용될 수 있고 참여자의 실제 상담사례 연구를 통해 군 상담 및 병력관리의 다양성을 넓히는데 충분한 의미가 있는 연구라고 본다. 다만 단일사례로 진행되어 복무 부적응 병사의 진단 및 치료의 일반화 및 효과성 검증에는 분명한 한계가 있다. 따라서 추후 충분한 대상자를 확보하여 풍부한 사례와 대상자들 간의 다양한 변수를 고려한 일관되고 체계적인 연구가 더 필요할 것이다. 아울러 기존에 군에서 시행하는 일반 대면상담을 받는 그룹과 비교 등을 통해 이후 인형치료를 군에서 적용하는 것에 강점을 밝혀내고 증명해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study investigates that in the uniform and rigid organizational culture of the military, figure diagnostic assessment can be utilized in depth in counseling with soldiers who have strong social introversion and weak ego function and that it has sufficient significance to broaden the diversity of military counseling and military force management through an actual case study of counseling with the participant. The advantages of figure therapy known through this study are: First, the possibility to make up for the limitations of verbal therapy. Quite a few people refuse to verbalize their conflicts or concerns. Duty maladjustment soldiers too are passive clients who cannot verbalize their emotions in the early stage of counseling and cannot clearly express what they want. They can express their pain through figures, and it is a therapy process that is most actively used and can make up for the limitations of language, which is in the same context as Choi & Seonu (2016). Second, accessibility to involuntary clients. A majority of military counseling is involuntary, and there is a lack of motivation for counseling, and accordingly, awareness and enthusiasm for changes are insufficient. For duty maladjustment soldiers, too, complaints not detected because they intentionally hid their problems or were less open at the counseling with a military executive member in the early stage after moving in slowly appeared in the figure therapy through figure diagnostic assessment, and involuntary clients could be changed into those with voluntary curiosity and activeness. However, as for the limitations, which are like the other side of the same coin, this study would discuss the limitations and make the following suggestions for subsequent studies. As this study was conducted on a single case, data were not accumulated through enough case studies. Thus, there is an obvious limitation in generalizing the diagnosis and treatment of duty maladjustment soldiers through figure diagnostic assessment and testing its effectiveness. Thus, it would be necessary to secure sufficient subjects and conduct more consistent and systematic research considering diverse cases and various variables among the subjects. Along with this, it would be necessary to reveal and prove the advantage of the application of figure therapy to the military through a comparison with the group of soldiers who have the existing general face-to-face counseling. Lastly, when the figure diagnostic assessment is utilized to help the duty maladjustment soldiers overcome various maladjustment factors and psychological difficulties they experience in four areas including self-awareness, other-awareness, family relationship, and peer relationship, it will be utilized as a tool that can be applied during counseling without a burden and can make diagnosis and evaluation for the soldiers who experience various difficulties during military service.
