초등 예비교사의 체육수업 실습 경험에 관한 질적 메타분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 예비교사의 체육수업 역량을 기르기 위한 적극적인 방법의 하나로서 실제 학교 현장에서 운영되는 교육실습 내용 중 체육수업을 실습하는 과정에서 예비교사가 어떠한 경험을 하고 있는지를 종합적으로 이해하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구에서는 포함과 배제 기준을 적용해서 7편의 연구물을 분석 대상으로 선정하였으며 Nobbit과Hare(1998)가 제안한 분석 절차를 참고해 여섯 단계로 메타분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 초등 예비교사가 체육수업을 실습하는 경험은 부적 측면과 정적 측면이 공존하였다. 부적 경험은 주로 실습 초기와 중간에 ‘걱정’, ‘혼란’, ‘타인의식’, ‘간과’의 요소로 나타났고 정적 경험은 주로 실습 중간과 후기에 ‘노력’, ‘협업’, ‘고민’, ‘배움’이라는 요소로 나타났다. 그리고 이와 같은 이 두 가지 경험은 속성상 상반된 것이었지만 두 가지 경험이 모두 예비교사의‘각성’을 유도하는 동인으로 작용하고 있었다. 즉, 예비교사들은 실습에서의 이중적 경험을 토대로 체육수업과 교사로서의 자신에 대한 인식과 태도를 성찰하고 문제의식을 드러내기도 하였다. 향후 초등 예비교사를 위한 체육수업실습의 개선을 위해서는 우선 예비교사가 체육수업에 대해 갖는 높은 심리적인 장벽을 낮추고 지도교사와 동료와의협업과 소통을 활성화하여 실질적인 수업 역량을 기를 수 있도록 도모할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to comprehensively understand the experiences of pre-service teachers in the process of practicing physical education among the educational practice operated in the school field. In this study, seven studies were selected as analysis targets by applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and meta-analysis was conducted in six stages by referring to the analysis procedure proposed by Nobbit and Hare (1998). As a result of the study, the experience of elementary school pre-service teachers practicing physical education classes coexisted with the negative and positive aspects. Negative experience mainly appeared as elements of 'worry', 'confusion', 'self-conscious', and 'passing over' in the beginning and middle of the practice, and positive experience mainly appeared as elements of 'endeavor', 'cooperation', 'considering', and 'learning' in the middle and late practice. In addition, these two experiences were contradictory in nature, but both experiences could be seen as drivers of pre-service teachers' “awakening.” In other words, pre-service teachers reflected on their perceptions and attitudes toward themselves for physical education classes and teachers based on their dual experiences in practice and had a sense of problem. In order to improve physical education class practice for elementary school pre-service teachers in the future, it is necessary to lower the high psychological barriers that pre-service teachers have for physical education classes and to promote collaboration and communication with guidance teachers and colleagues.
