국문 초록

우리 사회가 지닌 다양한 문제 가운데 하나인 세대 간 차이는 ‘다름’을 넘어 ‘갈등’으로 나타나고 있다. 이러한 어려운 환경에서 개인이 기댈 곳은 가족이었다. 가족은 구성원에게 닥친 위기를 이길 수 있도록 도우며, 다음 세대가 잘 자랄 수 있는 환경을 조성해 주는 역할을 감당해 왔다. 그러나 국가적 경제 저성장과 복지국가로의 저발전은 가족의 끈끈함조차 점차 한계상황으로 내몰고 있으며, 의료발전을 통한 고령화로 기대수명이 늘어나면서 부양에 대한 부담은 점차 갈등을 심화시키고 있다. 하지만 사람이 가족을 떠나서 홀로 살아갈 수 없는 것은 당연하다. 본 연구는 출산을 통해 이미 형성된 세대공동체가 갈등의 원인이 아니라 갈등 해소의 해법으로 나아갈 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 갈등 해소의 열쇠를 쥐고 있는 것은 의사결정 권한을 가진 기성 세대이다. 따라서 본고는 기성 세대였던 할아버지 퇴계 이황(1501-1570)이 맏손자인 안도(1541-1584)에게 보낸 가서(家書)를 통해 유가에 나타난 세대공동체의 올바른 상을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 현대에 이루어지는 세대공동체 교육 모델 가운데 중국과 한국의 모델을 하나씩 살펴보고, 퇴계의 가서에 보이는 세대공동체 교육의 유가적 모델의 이론적 토대를 세워 보았다. 유가적 세대공동체 교육은 철학적·학문적 거대 담론보다는 일상적 가르침으로써 위기지학(爲己之學)의 자기 이해를 바탕으로 이루어진다. 유가적 세대공동체 교육은 양육과 별개로 진행되지 않는다. 양육의 현장인 가정에서 이루어지며, 철저한 자기 돌봄이 선행되어야 실행할 수 있는 것이다. 이러한 원칙을 토대로, 방법적인 측면에서는 일방적으로 어른이 아이에게 가르치는 소통의 부재에 머물지 않는다. 교육의 주체와 대상이 서로 소통하는 것은 물론이거니와, 가르치는 주체가 동시에 배우는 주체이기도 하다.

영문 초록

Differences between generations, one of the various problems our society has, are seen as “conflict” beyond “different”. In a difficult environment, a family is a place for an individual to lean on. Families have helped their members overcome the crisis they face, and have played a role in creating an environment where the next generation can grow well. However, the national economic low growth and low development into a welfare state are gradually pushing even the family's stickiness into a marginal situation, and the burden of stimulus is gradually deepening the conflict as life expectancy increases with the aging population through medical development. But a person cannot leave his family and live alone. This study aims to suggest a way for the already formed generational community to move toward a solution to the conflict, not the cause of conflict. Holding the key to resolving the conflict is the older generation with decision-making authority. Therefore, this study aims to present the correct picture of the generation community in oil prices through a letter from his grandfather Toegye Yi Hwang(1501-1570) to his eldest grandson Yi Ando(1541-1584). To this end, we examined the models of China and Korea one by one among the modern generation community education models and laid the theoretical foundation for the oil price model of the generation community education shown in the letter of Toegye. Confucian generational community education is based on the self-understanding by teaching daily rather than philosophical and academic giant discourse. Education in the Confucian generation community does not proceed separately from parenting. It takes place at home, which is the site of parenting, and can be implemented only when thorough self-care is preceded. Based on these principles, in terms of method, it does not stop at the absence of communication unilaterally taught by adults to children. Not only does the subject and object of education communicate with each other, but also the subject of teaching is the subject of learning at the same time.
