정서표현억제에 관한 국내 연구동향

국문 초록

본 연구는 국내에서 진행되고 있는 정서표현억제 연구를 분석하고, 앞으로 진행될 연구들이 어떤 방향으로 나아가야 할지에 대해 제언하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 KCI에 등재된 국내 학술지를 중심으로 34편의 연구물을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 연구물은 발행연도, 연구대상, 연구방법과 연구주제, 통계분석, 측정도구, 연구변인을 기준으로 정하고 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 정서표현억제와 관련한 연구는 2007년부터 시작되었으며 2017년을 기점으로 최근까지 매년 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 대학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 18편(52.9%)으로 절반 이상의 수치를 차지하였다. 둘째, 연구방법은 모두 양적연구로 진행되었으며 변인간의 관계를 주제로 하는 연구가 27.5편(80.8%)으로 가장 많았다. 분석방법은 회귀분석이 16편(47%)으로 가장 많이 나타났다. 셋째, 측정도구는 정서조절척도(ERQ)가 가장 많이 사용되었다. 마지막으로 정서표현억제가 매개변인으로 진행된 연구가 18편(54.5%)으로 가장 많았다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 정서표현억제 연구의 후속 연구의 필요성에 대해 제언을 논하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the research of suppression of emotional expression being conducted in Korea and to suggest the directions which future studies should take. Methods: 34 studies were selected from the journals registered in KCI(Korea Citation Index) for analysis. They were analyzed by the year of publication, research subjects, research methods and research topics, statistical analysis, scales, and research variables. Results: First, research on suppression of emotional expression began in 2007 and has been steadily conducted every year since 2017. There were 18 studies(52.9%) on college students, accounting for more than half of the figures. Second, all of the research methods were quantitative and 27.5 studies(80.8%) were the most common on the subject of the relationship between variables. As for the analysis method, the regression analysis was the most common with 16(47%). Third, for scales Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(ERQ) was the most frequently used. Finally, 18 studies(54.5%) conducted with suppression of emotional expression as a mediator variable were the most common. Conclusions: Based on these results, suggestions were discussed on the necessity of a future study on suppression of emotional expression.
