인간 심리와 관련된 반려동물 연구 동향 : 국내 주요 학술지를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 심리상담 분야에서 인간심리와 관련된 반려동물연구 동향을 분석함으로써 인간심리와 관련된 반려동물의 주요 변인을 찾고 이해하며 향후 연구에 시사점을 제공하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 2011년부터 2021년까지 국내 KCI에 등재된 22편의 학술논문과 주요 학술지 학술대회 자료집 5편을 대상으로 발행연도, 연구대상, 연구주제, 연구방법 및 통계분석, 연구대상별 관련변인 연구, 연구대상별 연구영역별로 분석하였다. 첫째, 발행연도별로는 2011년 인간심리와 관련된 반려동물연구가 시작되어 2021년까지 지속적으로 연구가 이어지고 있으며 주로 성인을 대상으로 한 연구가 많았다. 둘째, 연구방법별로는 전체 연구 중 양적연구가 과반수를 차지했으나 질적연구와 문헌연구도 44. 5% 연구되었다. 양적연구의 주제는 변인 간 관계연구가 51.8%로 과반수를 차지했다. 셋째, 분석방법별로는 양적 연구에서는 회귀분석(56.6%)로 가장 많이 사용되었고, 변량분석(30%)로 사용되었고 질적 연구에서는 사례분석(22.8%)이 많이 사용되었다. 넷째, 측정도구별로는 반려동물 애도척도와 반려동물 애착척도가 가장 많이 사용되었고 그다음으로는 반려동물 태도척도도 비슷한 빈도로 사용되었다. 마지막으로 반려동물 관련변인을 분류하고 2개의 범주로 나누었을 때 관계적 영역에서 성인을 대상으로 상실에 대한 연구가 15.7%로 가장 많았고 치료적 영역에서는 초등학생과 대학(원)생을 대상으로 친사회성에 대한 연구가 11%로 이뤄졌다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 인간심리와 관련된 반려동물 연구의 주요 시사점과 향후 제언에 대해 논하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the major variables of companion animals by analyzing trends in companion animal research related to human psychology in the field of psychological counseling, and to provide implications for future research. Methods: 22 academic papers and 5 major academic conference material collections registered in KCI((Korea Citation Index) from 2011 to 2021 were chosen. They were analyzed by subjects, topics, methods and statistical analysis, related variables and research area by research subject. Results: Research on companion animals related to human psychology started in 2011 and was continuing until 201, with many studies mainly targeting adults. Second, quantitative research accounted for the majority ofe all studies, but 44.5% of qualitative research and literature research were also conducted. As for the topic of quantitative research, research on the relationship between variables accounted for the majority(51.8%). Third, regression analysis (56.6%) was most frequently used in quantitative studies, followed by ANOVA(Analysis of Variance)(30%) while case analysis (22.8%) was most used in the qualitative study. Fourth, the companion animal mourning scale and the companion animal attachment scale were used the most, followed by the companion animal attitude scale with a similar frequency. Lastly, when companion animal-related variables were classified and divided into two categories, in the relational domain, the most research on adults’ loss was 15.7%, and in the therapeutic domain, 11% of the research on pro-sociality among elementary school students and college(graduate) students was done. Conclusions: Based on the results above, the major implications and suggestions for future research of companion animals related to human psychology were discussed.
