초심상담자의 전문직 정체성과 소진의 관계에서 상담자 자기효능감의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초심상담자를 대상으로 상담자 소진을 예방하기 위한 목적으로 전문직 정체성과 소진의 관계에서 상담자 자기효능감이 매개효과를 확인하는 것이다. 광주·전남북 소재 상담대학원의 상담전공생과 상담경력 3년 미만 상담자 225명을 대상으로 전문적 정체성 척도, 상담자 소진 척도와 상담자 자기효능감 척도를 사용하여 조사하였다. 초심상담자의 상담자 자기효능감이 전문직 정체성과 소진에 미치는 영향 사이에서 매개하는지 알아보기 위하여, 연구모형을 설정하고 구조방정식 모형을 검증하였다. 각 척도의 공통요인을 추정하고 위하여 측정변수로써, 하위 척도를 사용하였다. 전문직 정체성의 공통요인을 구성하기 위해 2개의 하위 척도 (역할 및 태도와 가치 및 신념)를 사용하였으며, 상담자의 자기효능감은 상담기술 자기효능감 및 상담태도 자기효능감으로 측정되었다. 상담자 소진은 5개의 하위 영역인 신체적 피로감, 무능감, 비협조적 업무환경, 내담자 가치저하, 사생활 악화로 측정되었다. 연구분석은 R 프로그램을 이용하여 구조방정식 모형을 추정하기 위해서 ‘lavaan’ 패키지를 사용하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 전문직 정체성과 소진은 유의한 부적 상관관계가 있었으며, 전문직 정체성과 자기효능감은 유의한 정적 상관관계, 자기효능감과 소진은 유의한 부적 상관관계가 있었다. 둘째, 상담자 자기효능감이 전문직 정체성과 소진의 관계에서 부분 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 의의는 전문직정체성과 상담자 자기효능감을 높이기 위한 훈련과 교육의 기회가 적극 제공된다면 초심상담자가 건강하고 유능한 상담자가 되는데 도움을 줄 수 있다는 것을 입증한 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to confirm the mediating effect of counselor self-efficacy in the relationship between professional identity and burnout with the purpose of preventing counselor burnout for novice counselors. 225 counselors with less than 3 years of counseling experience and counseling majors at counseling graduate schools in Gwangju, Jeonnam and Jeonbuk province were surveyed using professional identity measures, counselor burnout measures, and counselor self-efficacy measures. In order to find out whether the novice counselor s self-efficacy as a counselor mediated between the effect of professional identity and burnout, a research model was established and the structural equation model was verified. To estimate the common factors of each scale, a sub-scale was used as a measurement variable. Two sub-scales (role and attitude, values, and beliefs) were used to construct common factors of professional identity, and the counselor s self-efficacy was measured by counseling skills self-efficacy and counseling attitude self-efficacy. Counselor burnout was measured in five sub-areas: physical fatigue, incompetence, uncooperative work environment, client value degradation, and privacy deterioration. For the research analysis, the lavaan package was used to estimate the structural equation model using the R program. As a result of the study, first, professional identity and burnout had a significant negative correlation, professional identity and self-efficacy had a significant positive correlation, and self-efficacy and burnout had a significant negative correlation. Second, it was found that the counselor s self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between professional identity and burnout. The significance of this study proved that if opportunities for training and education to increase professional identity and counselor self-efficacy are actively provided, novice counselors can help them become healthy and competent counselors.
