나비에 관한 하나의 상징연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 모래놀이치료 장면에서 자주 등장하는 나비를 만나면서 나비에 대한 상징적 의미를 고찰하고자 한다. 상징은 직접적으로도 언어로도 표현될 수 없는 내면의 경험 수준을 의미한다. 무의식을 바탕으로 내면의 경험을 표현해낸 것을 상징을 통해서 느껴볼 수 있게 된다. 그러한 측면에서 모래놀이 작품에 나타난 나비의 상징적 의미와 생물학적, 종교적, 설화, 한국문화 속에서 나타나는 나비의 상징적 의미들을 확충하고자 한다. 나비는 전 세계에 분포되어 인간과 함께 살고 있으며 완전변태를 하는 신비하고 아름다운 곤충이다. 종교적인 관점에서 나비는 부활과 순수한 영혼을 상징하며 신화, 설화, 민담에서는 행복, 기쁨, 부활, 조화로움을 상징한다. 한국문화 속에서 나비는 행복, 사랑, 내적 성장의 상징을 보여준다. 또한, 모래놀이 작품에서 나비는 무의식을 의식화하면서 내적인 성장을 해내는 의미로 자아실현을 상징한다. 애벌레가 나비로 변화되듯 어린 소녀가 소녀로 성장하는 과정을 통하여 내적 성장을 해 나가는 모습으로 나타난다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the symbolic meaning of butterflies while meeting butterflies frequently appearing in the sand play therapy scene. Symbols represent the level of inner experience that cannot be expressed directly or in language. Based on unconsciousness, you can feel the inner experience through symbolism. In this respect, I would like to expand the symbolic meaning of butterflies in sandplay works and the symbolic meanings of butterflies in biological, religious, narrative and Korean culture. Butterflies are a mysterious and beautiful insect that is distributed all over the world and lives with humans. From a religious point of view, the butterfly symbolizes resurrection and pure soul, and in mythology, tales and folk tales, it symbolizes happiness, joy, resurrection and harmony. In Korean culture, butterflies show symbols of happiness, love and inner growth. In the sand play, the butterfly symbolizes self-realization in the sense of internal growth while consciousness of the unconscious. Just as the caterpillar turns into a butterfly, a young girl appears to be growing internally through the process of growing up as a girl.
