국문 초록

본 연구는 어머니의 정서표현 수용태도, 유아의 교사-유아관계, 그리고 문제행동의 관계를 알아보고, 이들 변인은 유아의 성별과 연령에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는가를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 강원도, 울산시, 서울시의 총 6개 유아교육기관의 만 3세∼6세 유아 308명(남아 166명, 여아 142명)이었다. 자료 수집은 어머니에게는 정서표현 수용태도 검사를 실시하고, 유아교사에게는 교사--유아관계와 유아의 문제행동 검사를 실시하여 수집되었다. 본 연구의 주요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 정서표현 수용태도와 유아의 문제행동 간에는 유의한 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사-유아관계와 유아의 문제행동 간에는 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아의 성별에 따라 어머니의 정서표현 수용태도는 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 교사-유아관계에서 여아의 친밀감이 남아보다 높고, 유아의 문제행동에서 남아의 적대-공격성과 과잉행동-산만이 여아에 비해 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 유아의 연령에 따라 어머니의 정서표현 수용태도, 교사-유아관계의 갈등, 유아의 문제행동의 적대-공격성, 걱정-불안, 과잉행동-산만에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the relationship between mothers attitudes toward their children s expressiveness, the teacher-preschooler relationship and problematic behavior in preschoolers. It will also examine differences in three variables as a function of the child s gender and age. The research subjects consisted of 308 three to six-year-old children and their parents who were sampled from six kindergartens in Samcheok, Wonju, Ulsan and Seoul, Korea. This study employed the Mothers Attitudes toward Children s Expressiveness Scale, the Teacher-Child Relationship Scale and the Children s Problem Behavior Scale. The statistical methods used for data analysis were the correlation analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The results were as follows:First, there was no statistically significant correlation between mothers attitudes toward their children s expressiveness and their problem behavior. Second, there was statistically significant correlation between the teacher-child relationship and preschoolers problem behavior. Third, the mothers attitudes toward their children s expressiveness did not significantly depend on their child s gender. However, concerning the teacher-child relationship, girl had greater closeness than boys did and in terms of problem behavior, boys had greater aggressiveness and hyperactivity than girls. Finally, mothers attitudes toward their children s expressiveness, the conflictive relationship between the child and teacher, and problematic behavior were significantly different as a function of their gender.
