국문 초록

본 연구는 생태유아교육기관에서 교사가 어떻게 생태유아교육과정을 운영해 가는지 알아보기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 이를 위해 생태유아교육기관인 P어린이집의 만5세반 유아교사의 일과를 참여관찰하고 면담한 결과를 토대로 생태유아교육과정에서 교육의 목적, 내용, 방법, 평가를 어떻게 실현해 가는지 질적연구방법으로 분석해 보았다. 유아교사의 일과를 분석해본 결과, 생태유아교육과정에서 교육목적은 신명나게 뛰어노는 아이로 키우는 것이었다. 교육내용은 계절 및 절기에 따른 삶을 살아가는데 초점을 맞추고 있었다. 직접 가르치기보다는 스스로 할 수 있도록 기다리는 방법을 택하고 있었으며, 생태유아교육과정을 실시하면서 생긴 변화를 기록하는 것으로 평가를 하고 있었다. 종합해 볼 때, 생태유아교육과정은 생태유아교육에서 표방하고 있는 기본적인 교육관점에 따라 운영되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 점에서 볼 때 생태유아교육과정은 의도된 교육과정과 실행된 교육과정 간에 차이가 크지 않다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study examines how teachers implement eco-early childhood education at eco-early childhood education centers. To this end, interviews and participant observations of the daily work habits of daycare teachers for five-year-old children were conducted in P Child Care Center. Based on the observation and interview results, this study presents a qualitative analysis of how the purpose, content, methods, and evaluation of eco-early childhood education are realized. The purpose of eco-early childhood education is to allow children to play happily. The content of the educational program is focused on the child s life so that it will be suitable for various seasons. Regarding methods, teachers wait for children to learn how to achieve for themselves rather than directly teaching them how to do things. The evaluation was conducted by recording changes in the children while they were receiving eco-early childhood education. To conclude, eco-early childhood education was implemented in accordance with basic educational perspectives professed by eco-early childhood education.
