만 5세 학급 이야기 나누기 시간의 유아 주도적 소집단 토의 운영을 위한 실행연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 만 5세 학급 이야기 나누기 시간의 유아 주도적 소집단 토의 운영을 위해서 연구자가 직접 소집단 토의를 지도하면서 ‘연구’와 ‘실천’이 순환적으로 전개되는 실행연구를 실시하였다. 이에 따라 만 5세 학급 이야기 나누기 시간의 유아 주도적 소집단 토의 운영 과정에서 유아들의 변화 양상과 그 과정에서 교사의 역할은 어떠한지 알아보기 위해 9개월간 매 달 2회～3회 소집단 토의를 진행하였고 비디오 촬영과 녹취, 현장 일지, 연구자의 반성적 저널쓰기를 통해 자료를 수집 하였다. 수집된 자료를 토대로 분석한 결과 첫째, 유아 주도적 소집단 토의 과정에서 1. 점차 소집단 토의에 적극적인 태도를 보이는 유아들, 2. 점차 세련되어지는 유아들의 토의 기술, 3. 모둠 안에서 공동체로 거듭나는 유아들의 변화 양상이 있었고 둘째, 유아주도 소집단 토의 과정에서 나타난 교사의 역할은 1. 유아들의 적극적 토의 참여를 위한 역할 - 토의에 적합한 흥미롭고 쉬운 주제 선정하기, 토의 자료로 실물 내주기, 소집단 주말 지낸 이야기로 워밍업 시켜 주기, 2. 유아들의 토의 기술 습득을 위한 역할 - 소집단 토의 방법과 기술 안내 해주기, 최소한의 그러나 적재적소의 피드백 주기 3. 유아들의 공동체 의식 함양을 위한 역할 - 소집단 토의의 결과에 대해 공동의 목표와 책임 강조하기, 모둠원 모두에게 역할 부여하기로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study is an action research on child-centered management, focusing on group discussion activities during the storytelling time of a class of five years old students. The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of child-centered management through small group discussion activities. Research Questions:1. What is the process for a child-centered small group discussion activity in a class of five years old at storytelling time?2. What is the teacher s role during a child-centered small group discussion activity for a class of five years olds at storytelling time?The researcher, a teacher in the field, planned the discussion activities, conducted the research and observed and described the outcomes. The data mainly in the form of videos, recordings, field notes and journals, were collected for nine months from May to January. Results:First, the attitude of the children gradually changed from passive to positive , and the process for group discussion improved every day, while at the same time the community sprit of the children was being shaped little by little. Second, the teacher selected an apt theme for group discussion, guiding the children through a process that allowed easy discussion. The teacher also assigned them the right feedback at the right time.
