국문 초록

본 연구는 가정 어린이집의 부모교육 실태를 살펴보고 보육교사와 어머니 간에 부모교육에 대한 인식에 차이가 나타나는지를 밝히고자 김포시 가정 어린이집의 보육교사와 어머니 각 150명을 대상으로 질문지 조사를 하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과 대부분의 어린이집에서 부모교육을 시행하며 부모교육은 주로 가정통신문으로 안내하고 부모교육에 대한 의견 조사는 절반 이상이 안 하는 것으로 나타났다. 부모교육에서 주로 영유아의 발달특성을 다루며, 부모교육 형태는 입학설명회, 부모교육 평가방법은 설문지가 높게 나타났다. 부모교육에 대한 보육교사와 어머니의 인식에 차이가 있는지를 살펴본 결과 부모교육의 중요성, 연간계획과 교사연수의 필요성, 선호하는 담당자, 교육 횟수, 소요시간, 요일, 시간대, 형태, 장소, 교육시기에서 차이가 나타나 보육교사와 어머니의 간의 긴밀한 연계를 통해 부모교육이 체계적으로 운영될 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study examined the current status of parent education in family childcare centers and sought to identify any differences in the perception of mothers and childcare teachers regarding parent education. In total, 300 mothers and childcare teachers at family childcare centers in Kimpo city were given a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed in terms of frequency, percentage and the Chi-square test.. The major research findings may be summarized as follows.. First, most of the family childcare centers in the study provided parent education. To promote participation the centers used newsletters. A survey of parents opinions prior to participating in parent education was not conducted in half the cases. The main topic of parent education was child development, taking place mostly at the centers’ open house. To evaluate parent education the survey questionnaire was frequently used. Second, there were significant differences between the perceptions of childcare teachers and mothers on parent education in terms of its degree of importance, the requirement for an annual plan and teacher education, as well as the preferred educators, number, duration, weekdays, time period, types, and location of the parent education sessions. This study suggests that it is necessary to implement parent education systematically through close relations between childcare centers and families.
