생태적 교육배경을 지닌 부모의 부모 되기 경험의 의미

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 생태적 교육 배경을 지닌 부모들이 경험하는 부모 되기의 의미와 실제를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 생태유아교육관련 강의를 수강한 P대학 대학원생 8명을 대상으로 2014년 1월부터 4월, 7월부터 8월까지 개별 심층면담을 통해서 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과, 예비부모들은 자녀를 잉태하기 전 준비과정의 부모 되기 경험으로는 건강한 생활습관 만들기와 건강한 생활환경 만들기를 실천하며, 잉태의 기다림과 부담감을 마음 다루기를 통해 극복하며 정서적 안정을 꾀하고 있었으며, 임신과정의 부모 되기 경험으로는 태아의 생명성을 인식하고 건강한 식생활과 생활습관을 실천하였다. 출산 및 초기 양육과정에서는 생태적 출산을 실천하기 위한 선택과 갈등을 경험하며, 출산 후에는 애착육아와 전통육아법을 통한 고유놀이를 실천하고 있었으며, 배우자 및 가족들의 생태적 양육의 동반 실천을 꾀하고 있는 한편, 주변 지인들과는 관계적 갈등을 경험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 생태적 부모 되기에서 강조하는 전통육아와 자연주의적 접근의 지식은 보편적으로 알려져 있으나 개인의 삶에 적합한 생태적 부모 되기를 지속적으로 실천할 수 있도록 예비부모, 부부 및 가족을 위한 부모교육 프로그램의 이론적인 토대와 환경의 정비가 필요할 것이다. 이러한 연구 결과는 앞으로 생태교육시스템 구축을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the meaning and reality of being parents for parents with ecological education experience. The subjects in this study were eight selected graduate students in P university who took a course in eco-early childhood education. Each of them was interviewed in depth to gather data from January to April and from July to August, 2014, and the collected data were analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: As for the experience of being parents in the period of pre-pregnancy, they tried to cultivate a sound lifestyle and to prepare healthy living environments, and they also tried to keep themselves in control in order to endure a long wait, ease pressure and improve emotional stability. Concerning the experience of being parents in the period of pregnancy, they realized the preciousness of their unborn babies. In the period of childbirth and initial parenting, they were conflicted about the method of childbirth and considered ecological childbirth. After childbirth, they combined attachment parenting and traditional parenting and let their babies play traditional games. They encouraged their spouses and families to cooperate with them in ecological parenting, but they were in conflicts with their acquaintances. The knowledge of traditional parenting that are stressed in being ecological parents are quite well known, but it s still required to lay the solid theoretical foundation for the development of parent education programs geared toward prospective parents, married couples and families in order to help these people to become good ecological parents. The findings of the study are expected to pave the way for the development of an ecological education system.
