국문 초록

본 연구는 한국아동패널 4차년도 자료에서 후속출산 계획여부를 밝힌 어머니 1,701명을 대상으로 어머니의 개인 심리적 특성과 가정환경자극이 후속출산에 미치는 영향을 교차분석과 F검증을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 어머니의 후속출산계획은 자녀 수, 어머니의 학력, 가구소득 수준과 관련성이 있었다. 둘째, 어머니의 심리적 특성에 따라 후속출산계획은 유의미한 차이가 있으나, 가정환경 자극수준과 후속출산은 연관성이 없었다. 셋째, 어머니의 심리적 특성과 가정환경 자극수준은 연관성이 있고, 가정환경 자극수준이 낮을수록 어머니는 부정적인 심리상태를 보였다. 넷째 가정환경자극 수준이 낮을 때보다 상대적으로 높을 때에 후속 출산 단절을 결정하는 데 어머니의 부정적 심리상태의 영향력이 더 크게 나타났다. 이 같은 결과를 토대로 맞춤형 육아지원서비스 등을 주요 시사점으로 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The study aimed to investigate the effects of maternal psychological characteristics and Home Environment Stimulation(HOME) on follow-up planned childbirth. A total of 1,701 mothers who answered her follow-up planned childbirth were selected in the fourth data of Panel Study on Korean Children of KICCE. Chi-square, F-test and logistic regression model were used. The results were as follows. First, follow-up planned childbirth was related with the number of children, maternal education level and the economic status. Second, there was a significant difference of follow-up planned childbirth by maternal psychological characteristics, but not by the level of Home Environment Stimulation(HOME). Third, the levels of maternal psychological characteristics and Home Environment Stimulation(HOME) showed negative correlations. Last, maternal psychological status had more negative effect on follow-up planned childbirth when Home Environment Stimulation(HOME) level is low. Based on the results, several implications were discussed such like the improvement child care and education’s systems and policies based on mothers’ needs.
