국문 초록

본 연구는 예비유아교사들이 보육실습과정에서 경험하게 되는 딜레마를 극복하기 위한 그들의 대안과 전략을 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 D대학의 유아교육과 2학년 70명을 연구참여자로 선정하여 2013년 10월부터 2014년 3월까지 연구를 실시하였다. 이 과정에서 수집된 반성적 저널, 조별토론, 개별면담 자료를 질적 방법으로 분석한 결과, 예비유아교사들은 보육실습을 경험하면서 교육이론과 교육실제 간에 발생하는 간극으로 인해 교수행위, 유아지도, 동료관계에 대한 딜레마를 경험하고 있었으며, 이 과정에서 예비유아교사들은 부정적인 태도를 형성하기보다는 다양한 대안과 전략을 개발하여 딜레마 상황을 긍정적인 방향으로 개선하고자 하는 의지를 보여주었다. 이러한 연구결과는 예비유아교사들이 교사로서의 자신감을 갖도록 도움을 주는 한편, 보육실습 관련 교과목 운영에 대한 유용한 정보를 제공해 줄 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore strategies for dealing with dilemmas, more specifically, the dilemmas faced by preservice early childhood teachers during practicum in child care centers. The subjects were 70 second-year early childhood education students who were enrolled in regular 3-year college-level courses. Data were collected from reflective journal writings and journal writings(based on group discussion) as well as from personal interviews. The data were analyzed by an inductive method, which was one of qualitative analyses. The results showed that preservice early childhood teachers experienced dilemmas with regard to teaching performance, guiding children, and personal relationships during practicum in child care centers. During this process, they attempted to deal with dilemmas by devising various strategies and alternative solutions by themselves. These results showed that practicum enhanced preservice early childhood teachers’ confidence in themselves as teachers. In addition, fundamental information was provided in administrating the course practicum in colleges.
