국문 초록

이 연구는 미술 교과교육에서 할 수 있는 장애 이해 교육으로서 탈(脫) 에이블리즘 미술교육을 제안하는 연구이다. 탈(脫) 에이블리즘 미술교육은 우리 삶의 전반에서 정상성에 가치를 부여하는 에이블리즘에 대해 해체해보도록 하는 미술교육을 의미 한다. 이 연구는 탈(脫) 에이블리즘 미술교육의 방향성을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 문헌 연구를 바탕으로 본 연구는 탈(脫) 에이블리즘 미술교육이 사회정의를 지향하며 다양성과 차이의 수용을 교육의 목표로 함을 제안하였다. 그리고 문화적 으로 반응하는 교육, 비판적 다문화주의, 저항적 작업, 포스트-저항적 작업의 이론적 프레임과 비판적 사고 전략을 개인적, 문화적, 제도적 수준에서 작용하는 에이블리즘에 적용할 것을 제안하였다. 그 결과 탈(脫) 에이블리즘 미술교육의 방향으로서 장애 예술 활용하기, 미디어 읽기, 불가능하게 하는 내러티브를 해체하기, 배움 지향 유니버설 디자인하기를 제안하였다. 본연구는 비/장애인 학습자들이 장애(인)에 대해 삶에서 어떻게 편견을 가지고 있는지에 대해 인식하고 미술을 통하여 자신들의 목소리로 권한 부여를 해 보도록 하는 미술 교과 기반 장애 이해 교육을 구안해보고자 하는 교육자들에게 유용하다.

영문 초록

This article is a study to suggest post-ableism art education as an education for understanding disability based on art education. Art education of post-ableism means arts education that allows us to deconstruct ableism which gives value to normality in all aspects of our lives. The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction of post-ableism art education. Based on the literature review, this study suggests that post-ableism art education aims for social justice and aims to embrace diversity and differences. In addition, the theoretical frame of culturally responsive education, critical multiculturalism, oppositional work, and post-oppositional work, and the critical thinking strategies were proposed to be applied at the individual, cultural, and institutional level where ableism exerts influence. As a result, as the direction of post-ableism art education, it was proposed to utilize disability art, to read media, to deconstruct the disabling narrative, and to make a universal design for learning. This study is useful for educators who want to design an art based education for understanding disabilities that focuses on recognizing how non/disabled learners have prejudices about (people with) disabilities in their lives and empowering them with their voices through art.
