정범모 전기 교육개념과 후기 교육개념의 변화양상에서 교육의 개념 고찰

국문 초록

정범모는 ‘행동변화’를 중심으로 교육을 정의하면서 교육에서 발생하는 고유한 현상을 설명하고자 하였다. 그러나 정범모는 기존 교육개념의 한계를 인식하고 ‘자아실현’을 중핵으로 하는 교육개념을 새롭게 제안하면서 교육개념의 변화를 모색하였다. 정범모 교육개념의 변화양상에 대해서 후대 교육학자들은 다양한 견해를 제시하였고 2000년대에 들어서 정범모는 전기 교육개념과 후기 교육개념을 혼용하면서 교육의 정체에 관한 의문이 발생하였다. 본 연구에서는 정범모의 전기 교육개념과 후기 교육개념의 변화양상을 고찰하면서 정범모 교육개념에서 나타난 교육에 대해서 살펴보았다. 그 결과 정범모 교육개념의 변화양상에 관한 후대학자들의 견해는 ‘행동변화’와 ‘자아실현’이라는 변화양상에 중점을 두면서 다양한 의견을 제시한 것임을 밝혔다. 교육개념을 확립하고 통일된 실체로 교육을 밝히기 위해서 교육의 현상을 정의가 아니라 구조를 바탕으로 설명하려는 새로운 방식을 제안하고 있다.

영문 초록

Chung Bom Mo tried to explain the unique phenomena that occur in education while creating the concept of education centering on ‘behavioral change’. However, Chung Bom Mo recognized the limitations of the existing educational concept and sought to change the educational concept by proposing a new educational concept that focuses on ‘self-realization’. Junior scholar presented various views on the change in the concept of education, and in the 2000s, questions arose about the identity of education when Chung Bom Mo s mixed the concept of prior education and later education. In this study, while examining the changes in Chung Bom Mo s concept of prior Education and later education, the education that appeared in Chung Bom Mo s concept of education was examined. As a result, it was revealed that various opinions arose as the existing view on the change pattern of Chung Bom Mo s educational concept focused on “behavioral change” and “self-realization” rather than an approach to education. In order to establish the concept of education and reveal education as a unified entity, a new method is proposed to explain the phenomenon of education based on structure rather than definition.
