선교사 자녀의 영적 안녕감, 긍정적 사고, 부모-자녀관계가 현지 적응유연성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 영적 안녕감, 긍정적 사고, 부모–자녀관계가 선교사 자녀(Missionary Kids, 이하 MK)의 현지 적응유연성에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구로서, 연구대상은 MK수련회에 참석한 MK들과 M국 소재 MK학교에 재학 중인 MK 201명이며, 질문지법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 성별, 부모와의 동거여부, 학생 분류, 선교지 대륙, 종교, 거주기간, 선교지로 떠난 나이에 따른 적응유연성의 차이는 없으며, MK로서의 만족도와 적응유연성은 강한 정적 상관성을 보였다. 둘째, 변인들 간의 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 영적 안녕감과 긍정적 사고는 높은 상관이 있고, 영적 안녕감과 부모–자녀관계 그리고 긍정적 사고와 부모–자녀관계는 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 변인들 간의 상관분석 결과 영적 안녕감, 긍정적 사고는 MK의 적응유연성과 높은 정적 상관관계를 보이는 것으로 나타났고, 부모–자녀관계는 MK의 적응유연성에 유의미한 상관관계를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 세 가지 변인 중에서 MK의 현지 적응유연성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변인을 살펴보기 위해 단계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였는데, 영적 안녕감, 긍정적 사고, 부모–자녀관계 순으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study overviewed the effects of spiritual well–being, positive thinking,and parent–child relationship on MK’ resilience at mission fields. Theobjects of the study were a total of 201 MKs who participated in a MK’retreat as well as enrolled at MK school located in a country M and theresearch was done through questionnaire method. The following showsthe results of the study. First, the general factors(gender, etc) of MK didnot show much difference on the MK’ resilience, but level of satisfactionas MK and resilience had strong statistical correlation. Second, the resultof correlation analysis on spiritual well–being, positive thinking, andparent–child relationship showed strong correlation between each other. Third, it revealed strong statistical correlation between spiritual well–beingand positive thinking on MK’ resilience, while parent–child relationshipshowed statistically meaningful correlation. Fourth, Step–wise multipleregression analysis was utilized to seek the utmost variable among spiritualwell–being, positive thinking, and parent–child relationship, which effecton MK’ resilience, and the result showed that from spiritual well–being topositive thinking and parent–child relationship had statistically meaningfuleffects.
